More money to spend. That depends on your budget.
Don't forget you have to spend $ to get the mini display out adapter. Then if you work on external screen, you might need a keyboard n mouse. More money to spend. |

The best method if your budget tight, get the loan from your credit card. Not the fast cash, it some thing like personal loan with much lower interest, around 0.5~0.8/ month depend on which bank

Hey guys, I'm planning to move over from Windows to Mac. If I were to have a
Dell Studio XPS 16 and Macbook Pro 13" or 15" Can anyone convince me why I should get the Macbook Pro? As I see the macbook pro 15" can play anygame as the dell studio xps can. Usually I would just play tf2, l4d, warcraft and those range of games and do my assignments. I don't see what I can miss out in a mac compared to windows. All I am lacking now is the experience using mac EDIT: Oh yeah, is there any new macbook pros coming out soon? Might as well just wait or something if it isn't far from now This post has been edited by SheepMekk: Oct 14 2009, 04:01 PM |

Pls. Don't just buy a book cause the cover is pretty. Makesure you gonna make use and happy with what it can do for you.
If you ask such question on a Mac centric section. Answer going to be bias. LOL. |

I'm thinking of getting a macbook. But donno whether i should go for pro or just macbook. Okay, basically what i'm going to do this this macbook is that i want to do some editting work, mostly using the final cut pro and also another photoshop programme. So can anyone please tell me whether the most basic macbook will do a good job for this?
Thanks! |

If your video workload/task is simple, a 13" mbp should able to do it.Thanks! |

Might as well just wait or something if it isn't far from now before this, it was using vista which is crappy but now the win 7 is coming out, so it is BETTER in terms of OS. but do check out which kind of win7 are u planning to get. are u a developer? or just a normal user? if u r a student, i think it's ok to go for the standard edition. but if u r a hardcore developer, esp a .net developer, go for ultimate which can be costly. also in terms of performance, even though xps 16 is better in hardware, it still lacks behind macbook pro DEFINITELY. coz of what? dell's bloatwares. the startup alone will take longer than mbp. and it's also heavier. but i suggest u get mbp 13 and not 15 coz the price will jst shoot over the top due to applecare. to b honest i was comparing xps 16 vs mbp 13 before i got mbp 13. |

@Grajindo,
Also, ask urself what your budget is. As I've shared once upon a time and to many people; I know a lot of great Creative people who use the MB because they find the MBP a lil heavy; of course now they mostly use the 13" MBP |
