i guess ur only choice is to ask an apple reseller to order one for u. they still go through the same process of buying it online, but u pay them cash. but yeah as others have mentioned, no edu discount and it'll be quite a long wait

other than that..well either u just buy the available models, or get someone (friend or relative) to order it online for you using their credit card. then u pay them cash

better yet, learn to trust online payments smile.gif u'll need to do it sooner or later

Sigh...there goes my rm 400 discount...cud've used it to buy kingston/corsair rams sad.gif

Do u guys think ACCP is truly worth it? What if nothing happens? Sorry for being so pessimistic, cant help it

imac applecare is just rm600. since u're buying a high spec one, you really should get acpp

if nothing goes wrong after 3 years, then yeah u've wasted rm600. if something major goes wrong after 1 year, and cost 1k or even 3k to repair, u'll regret it tongue.gif

my 2006 MBP died on me after 2.5 years, repair cost at least rm3k. it wouldn't have been a problem if i had ACPP but i didnt +_+ thats y for my current 2008 MBP i bought acpp together with it haha. so far juz use to claim new battery and speaker (didnt cover the ACPP cost but nevermind lah)

I have a question here.

I noticed that when photos displayed in Macbook, the color of the photos are very vibrant and sharp.

May I know if this event will only work when we use Apple monitor or display hardwares?
Will the vibrant and sharpness still appear on other branded monitors when Mac mini or Macbook is connected to it? eg Samsung LED monitor.

for me it's more to the calibration. of course hardware plays a part also lah.

u compare a mac running windows in bootcamp, to another PC running windows. looks about the same i guess, because not calibrated. last time i copied the display calibration file (or whatever it's called) of OSX and use it in windows...BOOM... so huge improvement haha

hey guys... quick question...

I bought my imac 2011 27" high spec today and it runs in 10.6.8 snow leopard. It's supposed to be pre-installed with Lion or do I have to manually update it?

Thanks

I think so far only new Mac Mini and MBA comes pre-installed with Lion. Just claim your Lion from here and update yourself.

well those ppl from mudah or the garage sellermight have some connection with the distributor thus they are entitled to buy at discounted price and sell to us at lower price but regardless you need to check the reputation of the reseller also.

while on the other hand apple official reseller has to follow apple guidelines and need to follow the recommended retail price, so there won't be any discrepancy of prices with the official resellers.

Was wondering, for Mac Mini, will Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 2000 work with the new OSX Lion? Cause that's the basic keyboard + mouse I have currently. Work as in plug n play and without extra software / download tweaking. If not, what would be the best way to know if a keyboard / mouse works with a Mac?

Looking forward to dive into OSX.

I assume you're using a broadband modem...? Check the modem model number from there and run it thru the modem manufacturer's website for latest drivers...
