lol 8 something should be okay, last semester most of my classes were ard 12pm.
sometimes i spent almost 20minutes to look for a car park!
and the security guard will close the car park entrance when it's really really really full.

hi!! mee too!!

any seniors who can tell me, which lecturers are good for business and commerce first year ??
and we do our own timetable right ??
by the way, what does elsa teaches ??

wanna ask..
are those text books a must to buy for business and commerce ??

i think we cant choose our lecturers for lectures coz its already auto allocated but maybe you can choose your tutors for tutorial. ok this is what i think
AFW1000 - dr lee teck heang is recommended why? His marking is not so strict, and you can easily get high marks for assignments and in exams. here is a catch, i think he is quite new only entered Monash in 2009.
MKW1120 - puan nora why? many people thinks she is strict in her marking but many also thinks her marking is not strict, imagine getting full marks for assignments
MGW1010 - i dont think there is any choice available since dr imam is the only one. his marking is very strict, commas, grammar errors, etc he can spot
ECW1101 - alvin chan is super fast in his lecturing and tutoring. 1hr class completed in 30min, 2hr lecture in a little over an hour. but i heard he is very strict in marking
Elsa teaches Biz Law, and I am going to enter her class next sem

There wouldn't be many activities for engineering students.
I think there's gonna be a tour of the campus, speech by head of school and the 1st year coordinator. That's about it!
Don't forget to attend the MOlympics(now known as the battle of Monashians) on friday =D
You will get to do you ID card on the week after that.

Hi there, I'm an Engineering student but I'm not majoring in Chemical Engineering but I hope I can help you.
Well, you could stay in Sun-U Residence or Sun-U Apartment which is the hostel provided by Monash and Sunway University.
You can walk to Monash and it takes about 5 minutes with you walk fast.
Other options are Lagoon View which is nearby too if you don't plan to bring a car to sunway.

Is there any other option cos I'm looking for a place with reasonable price. Any public transport available if I choose to live somewhere in PJS 10? or is SS13 far from that place?

public transport? ermm.. I'm not so sure about that.
what's your budget? the rent for sun-u apartment is quite reasonable.
RM400+ a month if I'm not mistaken.
but it will be demolished soon to make way for new buildings.
SS12 is not far from monash university, maybe 15 minutes walk from monash?

my budget will be ranging from RM300-RM400. It's best to be within that range but if can't it's okay. SS12. I think I consider that place. Any other places to recommend? Thanks a lot for the help smile.gif

PJS 9 (terrace houses) - lots of students staying here
PJS 11 (townhouse) - unlikely will rent out to students
PJS 8 (shop lots) - can try your luck...

It might be abit difficult to walk from these houses ... knowing the Malaysian weather.

Other places :

Palmville - high-end condominium. Can fit around 6 persons per unit. Very big and comfy. Beside Sunway Medical
Lagoon View - behind Sun-U residences.

There are a few low-cost houses and an apartment near Sunway College but I don't know what they are called.. =/
Situated near Medan and the car workshops area.
