Since when I was small I never been train to be money minded. I learn my life from hard way. I live with kampong people eventhough I got proper house in the city. I know how the feeling to be poor. It is very hard. So, skipping the queue to be quick rich is totally unfair. Another case is my parents teach my sister not to be money minded too. I’m proud my sister is not a money minded girl which is not many girls can do. My grandparents train my dad like that also. In the future, if I got kids, I will train them in hardway too. I don’t want them to get spoilt. Money is not everything.

I was with this ex when 17, very in love, he was a lorry driver (yea a lorry driver ) he was 26 then, I was working in sales earning 1.6k and he has a very unstable income. We were very in love, my dad didnt say anything, my mom was a bit nagging hoping I can marry a better off person to have a better life. But neither did she object us from progressing.

But being young and a hero, I dun care, I stayed in with him, initially everything is good, but problem starts when his boss biz runs into trouble, less work means less money. I've to chipped in most time if we're to go out for movies and dinners. I've no more savings, we dun buy luxury things only neccessity items.

After 4 years, when I see my frens start getting married, you know la girls we also hope to get married to the person we love, so I ask him la, how? He would say no money la, which of coz he is also right la, but this feeling is getting very stressful. His finance is not getting better, and we're living from hands to mouth.

Then fights starts because both of us stress out, and soon fights is the norm weekly affair. As a girl you feel this is going no where. And later I met this hubby of mine when I was working at the gemstone company, he has his own company, doing very well at 32. He starts taking me out for lunch initially and soon I fell for him.

OK all these while he offered to buy me a lot of things which I reject, I never take expensive things from him other than the food we eat. But it is the capability of a man able to take care of his wife which made me change my mind and broke of with my ex and ran to him.

OK as all break up it was ugly, fights la, accusing me of money minded, his frens also follow suit, say I left him because he is out of jobs. But no one sees from my side cep for my few close gf and family. It is very tiring not knowing what you future is heading, you cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Another thing is about behavior, my ex is very bad temper and childish, but my hubby is very patience and very loving person, 6 years we been together until today he had never raise his voice to me.

So after encountering both relationship, I'm very very comfortable where I am now, (we're not millionaires if you're wondering, just comfortable only) so that is why I ask girls to choose wisely, if I'had continue my relationship with my ex till today I heard from fren he is still driving lorry.
