i tinted my kembara with the clear one...experienced going to acc shop for window shopping then the guy asked me wanna put tint on my car or not...haha...it happened to me i think more than three times...

my beloved kancil...was a lil darker one...can see my car was tinted...

I'm using EcoTint. So far so good. Not too hot. Better than none.

Trying to match it with my black roof. Just diy black gloss vinyl on it. Not a perfect job. But its ok from far.

I plan on painting my rims black(9 spokes Daihatsu). The rims have scrapes and chips got it dirt cheap from halfcut. Should i skim it? Or just paint over. Anyone know cost and such for painting rims?

im using some unknown brand tint for my car..cost me rm180 for the whole car...as far as i can rmb...front tint VLT is 30% n for the side n rear tint VLT is around 55-60%...took da silver color 1...works fine for me...after putting the tint i do feel cooler when i go in da car when the car is under the HOT sun...

I luv that rim, that's the coolest 13"rim. (13"rim don't have a lot of variety)
anyway, how much u bought at halfcut. I see at mudah, sell at 600++ including tyre.

I also wanted to paint. Guess any paint shop can do the job for painting the rims rite?

find those which use d paint high quality n can stand high tempreture

Hi guys..I'm a kancil driver too..noticed this thread a while ago but never posted before..just observed

L2s blowoff is not very loud..for me i think L5 blowoff sounds better..the pisshhhh sound is quite loud..

are your pillars covered? people say that is where the heat comes in actually when you park ur car under the hot sun..mine are not covered and after marking for about 1 hour, i can feel that the pillars (bare metal) are really hot..


what is included? i did mine for rm200 for:
-wash and service cooling coil
-change cooling coil valve (the valve at the cooling coil, not sure what its called)
-change filter (the botol thing)
-refill gas

I got them for 500 with tires. 2 tires lasted me a good 1 year. The other 2 still on my car. hahaha.

Any recommendations on where to have it done here in KL(Cheras/Ampang).
My rims have scratches and some gashes...might want to touch-up.

where did you service your aircond ?

just went there just now with hopes to get it serviced, the boss not there. so another dude came to quote me 160 for the service, and 115 extra for the expansion valve and dryer.
immediately i told him that i'll wait for another day and talk to his boss

how much would the dryer alone cost actually ?

Nope, my pillars all are un-cover
i guess Year2000 facelifted kancil only is covered..

i changed mine at,
Receiver Drier - RM 60

was super busy the past 2 weeks, couldnt find the 2-3 hours needed to get the service done

intend to sent for service but if hv to change compressor also, out of budget la(need to renew insurance..damm)

4 years never service wooo~.. aircond cool when at night or raining only. but on hot day and in a jam, useless~!!

any consequences if mixing Dot3 and Dot4 brake fluid ? just notice that the mechanic change to Dot 4 brake fluid. But I also donno what brake fluid i'm using previously(suppose to be Dot 3 i think)..damm car noob here.

if it still can cool at nite or rain compressor did a good job only then the 'aircond' radiator cant make the gas cool enuf . add fan or change condensor might help

Bros, got a problem with my kancil 660m. Before the engine oil change was perfectly well. Here’s the story

- normal oil change done by foreman (Samlube – 10/w30) & filter. After change, initially driving was normal, then at nite, it got worst, sort of like loud knocking noise comig from the engine. Only then I realized, the TEMPERATURE had skyrocketed to the MAX. any ideas what went wrong?

- engine oil level - CHECKED OK
- radiator reservoir - CHECKED OK

water pump fail?

leaky rad hose, might be the plastic water pipe 'T' behind the block has cracked or blown. got 2 "t" there..

uhh, feel relieve to hear that.

u mean adding an extra fan in front of condenser rite?

anyway, does using sanden compressor really more cooler and worth it? does it still make a lot of noise when turning on air cond (malu woo~) and cut off our car power?

Thinking changing to comfort ride since everyone keep complaining my ride is stiff (especially my family).

Does changing the front absorber to oil type and standard spring can make a different? or still hv to change both ? wondering bout the ride height, it'll be higher in front rite.
Normal stroke in front(standard spring), short stroke in rear(Gab spring)

---Damm~ I luv to whack corner and my cruise speed is 120km/h imagine la with standard kancil suspension, corner at 50km/h feel body roll a lot. but hv to think bout others also,

Can trade in my Gab full suspension with standard suspension? will car shop take it? just wondering.
