I'm back! I finally inherited my mum's old 97 850 manual Kancil!

I used to drive back then but stopped after realizing that driving in kl city is actually a daylight suicide!

I have no clue whatsoever with car stuff, I only have you guys

Already sent the car for a major service around Feb, the mechanics told me to service it again after 5000km/3 months. Since it's a 97 car, service every 3 months sounds ok? No? Or I should wait for the meter to hit another 5000km? Can you guys help me out and tell me which stuff should I change? Because I am that noob. How bout I list down the things I've done/fixed/changed, and y'all just point out which one for the next service ok?? Can can?

mainly,what oil did u last use?im guessing mineral since u mentioned 5k km? just wait till its 5k km dude. but i wouldnt say no if u have the spare change to go for a service more freq

next service just change oil,its filter,coolant if u havent changed earlier..all the other parts u mentioned are all depending on whether they are worn out or try to get the mech to inspect them all.

Skim Brake Disc - bole ade rasa pelik time brake
Brake Pad - time buat allignment , soh orng tu check ..
Hydraulic Brake Fluid - everytime check air radiator .
Lower Arm -biase no problem ... (if x xcident)
Tie-Rod Steering -

Engine Oil - 5000km/3 months ( nk cun, yang mane smpi dlu ... )if daily use
Oil Filter - 3 kali servis , bru tukar
Gear Oil -setiap auto 40k km, manual 90k km(pakai toyota lagi better)
Engine Mounting - klu time idling, dashboard bergegar teruk , check ...
Air Filter - if bersih , cuci balik
Spark Plug - for me , setahun sekali ok kot
Plug Cable - a da problem , bru tukar
Valve Cover Gasket - ada problem bru tukar

currently i using brembo brand brake disc..
vry good in braking distance..
even through the disc dun have the hole to release heat, but it better den original disc..

I got a 1995 660cc Kancil.. the spark plug cable never change before and its written year 1995 on the cable.. my question is should i change the cable? sorry for noob question..

you dont need to change the spark plug cables unless there's a problem with it,like misfiring caused by the plug not being able to fire, cos no voltage/power. so if your car's fine,no issue.

the ppl say is from italy.. n my dad knw the ppl.. my dad say he vry honest ppl since he knw my dad when small

how many inch i dun knw le.. but its original size.. i using 12' stock rim also can fit..

sometime its quite hard to start the engine.. it just crank and crank and wont start.. i've changed spark plugs, contact point and checked full pump is working.. just im suspecting the spark plug cable to be the fault.. i got less than 3 months battery and since it will crank.. so i dont think the batt is bad..

@JasonB : yea,sparepart shops have a few choices,im on some brand called vetto,claimed to be euro,from euro, or euro certified etc.not cheap.RM100.not that great either.

@Aquariusdenz : maybe the easiest way to check the cables with spending RM is lending another set frm your mech/friend and swap it.see if it makes any diff.

Now my power windows are acting up. Good thing that I bought a can of silicone lubricant a few days ago
