For those who post short oneliners, please do not post short oneliners post. Anymore short oneliners will be deleted. And please stop asking when will iPhone 3.0 be available. When iPhone 3.0 is available, there will be forumers posting the good news or the URL to download the firmware. -- From Engadget: http://www.engadget.com/2009/06/17/stop-hi...ill-hours-away/You can refresh all you want but that won't make the 3.0 update for your iPhone appear any faster. In fact, you might want to give your trigger finger a rest for a few hours -- Engadget bud, Richard Lai, noted in a tweet that Apple's Singapore site says that the iPhone OS 3.0 update will release on the 18th while Apple India says the 17th, the date announced by Apple -- the difference presumably accounting for the 2.5-hour timezone offset between the two countries. That would peg an OS 3.0 release anytime between 1700 and 1930 in London or between noon and 2:30pm in New York. But don't let a little knowledge ruin your obsessive behavior, where's the fun in that? Update: The theory is supported by reports that carrier 3 in Hong Kong sent a network-wide SMS notifying iPhone owners that OS 3.0 will be available on June 18th, 01:00 local time. That's 1pm on the 17th in New York, 6pm in London, and 1900 in central Europe. -- Plase check at 1am later via iTunes if 3.0 is avaialble. if not.. just wait it out. So now Maxis is not being price friendly (since when anyway?) since they expect many people to get the iPhone 3G S, eh? What a disappointment. If it is really true on the price range, I might be forced to look elsewhere too.
Seriously, the 16GB of S, should be at leats priced somewhere near the previous version's 8GB.

QUOTE(1212345656 @ Jun 17 2009, 09:33 PM) Is it gonna release now or wat?? They said tomorrow?? Yes, after 12am is considered tomorrow... It is quite certain that it will be there around 12am...(maybe earlier a bit?) Edit: seems like the one liner poster has been deleted... I hope I do not need to answer in a one liner fashion to them again... This post has been edited by shdwkillr: Jun 17 2009, 09:38 PM

Just putting a note here...make sure you put some thoughts before upgrading to 3.0 as most of your apps are not compatible with 3.0. You will need to wait for all your current apps to be updated to 3.0. So far, only a bunch have ported over to iPhone 3.0 and hopefully more to come.
Just reminding us so that we don't fuzz about not having your favourite apps with you after upgrading to 3.0. Same goes to all Cydia/Installer/Icy apps users.
Cheers

And an added warning to Iphone users out there.
If you are using jail broken phones now and u update, jail breaking in the future will still be possible.
If you are using jail broken YellowSnow UNLOCKED phones, than u best stay away from the update.
Just a slight warning =D For some noobs that are bound to make this mistake

QUOTE(1212345656 @ Jun 17 2009, 10:18 PM) dear sifus, recently i opened the restrictions on my Iphone, but i forgotten the code. Is there anyway to retrieve back the code?? Restore is the only option. QUOTE(Dozz @ Jun 17 2009, 10:55 PM) Do we really need to restore our iphone first before update to 3.0 ? No, you can update it right away. Officially unlocked phones are safe, jailbreak-ed iPhone is not cause it will revert your phone back to locked unit.

Officially unlocked phones are safe, jailbreak-ed iPhone is not cause it will revert your phone back to locked unit. Jailbreak phones are safe as well, yellowsn0w ones are not. However, jailbreak ones need to wait for the release of new jailbreaking tools for 3.0, and if its an unlocked phone, it will stay that way till kingdom comes. Get your facts right bro, otherwise just refrain from posting la rather than misleading others. This post has been edited by =Hanxz=: Jun 17 2009, 11:00 PM
