QUOTE(manchurr @ Jun 12 2009, 03:22 AM) "one thing is for sure thou, iPhone 3Gs in NZ will be an unlocked set It is by NZ law that carriers can't lock their phone really? anyone going to NZ? huhuhu hmm, NZ launch date should be similar to Malaysia's launch date (some time in July)....don't think there is a need to get iPhones from NZ anymore |

QUOTE(manchurr @ Jun 12 2009, 03:34 AM) unlikely I would expect the iPhone 3GS price to be adjusted at current exchange rate. Unless NZ suffered from further recession after the launch and the currency devalues further. In fact the electronics here are generally priced higher compare to the rest of the world. |

@ String Australia perhaps will be a better option for you.
I think Vodafone NZ is holding the iPhone 3Gs news off as they're launching HTC Magic soon |

The only thing I'm against Maxis for sending firmware update on CD is that, it is not an environmental friendly after sale support for an environmental friendly phone.
I think the article link i posted earlier must be confused by the different release date of 3.0 update posted on apple website. i.e. US=17 June, MY/SG/NZ/etc =18 June This post has been edited by psyeo: Jun 17 2009, 07:15 PM |

QUOTE(xaw5126 @ Jun 19 2009, 06:48 PM) re : the A2DP I read somewhere in the Apple support forum, the AVRCP issue was raised in the developer forum during 3.0 beta, and the Apple engineer are looking into it still.... will probably be solved in future firmware update.its A2DP la... not AVRCP ... A2DP can only play / pause the music, answer calls... AVRCP can change song too... I have a AVRCP BT adapter (iTech Clip R35) and the Next / Previous controls do not work eh String, I try later with your 3G [S] okay? This post has been edited by psyeo: Jun 19 2009, 03:45 PM |

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Jun 20 2009, 09:29 PM) That browsing speed on the CNET video is skewed towards Palm based on what WWAN network both devices are connected. Notice that the Pre is using Sprint's network, while the iPhone is using AT&T. That introduces the variable that does not put both devices on equal footing. If both devices are loggeed onto one singular Wifi access point, that would give a more credible comparison about the browser speed. We all know how crowded the AT&T wireless network is, compared to the relative loneliness of Sprint's. and they stop the clock earlier for pre at least 20 sec earlier for pre on the webpage loading times, u can still see the small circle meter thingy at the bottom right of the pre (it is still loading) when they stop the timer. |

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Jun 21 2009, 02:48 AM) Next line of thought would be the connection. Are both connected to the net? And what is the push notification is about? A message about someone challenging you in the game? Maybe there's a delay in pushing that notification over. Can be a lot of things, but I'll give Apple the benefit of the doubt and give them a chance to give this feature some time before it matures. speaking of which, apple releases an interesting read about push notification. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3576 |
