Quite curious with this oil-resistant coating, I was wondering since it's only oil-resistant and not stretch-resistant, ppl will still stick a piece of screen protector on top of it, so let say when you peel off this piece of screen protector, it might possibly removed the oil-resistant coating somehow..

I am not sure the following question is in the pinned thread or i missed it or have been asked before, I would like to know if you guys think that 3gs will be officially unlocked by Maxis or Singtel as they did to the 3g?
Thank you.

QUOTE(kellyeung13 @ Jun 11 2009, 09:25 PM) From the outlook the iphone 3g look kinda similar to iphone 3gs. Hi, but I'm not trying to be offence, the design of the 3g and the 3gs is ABSOLUTELY the same.. Can you please do some research before you post that up? Again, no offence..

QUOTE(davidmak @ Jun 11 2009, 09:33 PM) Yes everything same. But I'm still unsure if the back will continue to be glossy or matte. Phil said that the design is the same as 3g, hence, glossy..

QUOTE(lucas_lik @ Jun 16 2009, 04:46 PM) We'll have to see...This is not like previous updates..... hmm... I really wonder what it is not like previous updates? When 2.0 was gonna released, everybody was like "wow, I am gonna wait for it and I think the server gonna be packed with huge traffic..." So?

QUOTE(kunamiya @ Jun 17 2009, 05:18 PM) now already like 5 in the morning in US US is so big ok? It covers several time zone, and Apple always follow the Pacific Time zone which now is only 2+ in the morning.. Anyway, why are you guys so nervous with the release? Seems like most of you are quite unfamiliar with Apple style of releasing things. Basically Apple will close the Apple Store around 7am Pacific Time and then the update is gonna be there when it reopens. (This happens every time when there is a keynote), but of coz, I know there is no keynote on this one, but usually this is Apple style of doing things.

It is quite certain that it will be there around 12am...(maybe earlier a bit?) Edit: seems like the one liner poster has been deleted... I hope I do not need to answer in a one liner fashion to them again... This post has been edited by shdwkillr: Jun 17 2009, 09:38 PM

QUOTE(Mike3300 @ Jun 18 2009, 12:07 AM) You're the one who needs to get it right. iPhone 2G (mostly locked units): If jailbreak-ed, contents or apps will be erased and your phone is locked. iPhone 3G (unofficially unlocked units): If jailbreak-ed, contents or apps will be erased and your phone is locked. iPhone 3G (officially unlocked units): If jailbreak-ed, contents or apps will be erased but your phone remains unlocked. I don't think bro Hanxz statement has anything conflicted with yours... basically what he said is what you stated once again... I guess the short conclusion that Hanxz was trying to put is that don't update to 3.0 first if you really need all those jailbreaking... This post has been edited by shdwkillr: Jun 18 2009, 12:14 AM
