Ok after 1 day of usage it seems that the omnia is a great device with lost to offer. Still need to get used to the on screen keyboard. A little slow when typing messages.
I have 1 complaint. Battery life barely lasted me 1 day for some reason. Not sure why but here goes: -Seller mentioned that he "upgraded" to latest Msia rom which has Chinese input enabled but I have not yet done a Hard reset -I put the device into sleep mode using the power button but wake it up every once in awhile to play around with the functions quite frequently Could it be my usage which is causing the battery to drain to quickly? Or would the hard reset rectify this? Also I find it a little hard to remove my omnia from the slipcase which is similar to the one as shown in this pic: ![]() I just grab my omnia from the slot on the side but sometimes its a little hard to even budge Any suggestions?? |

as I'm in the process of hard reset my omnia (still cannot find the time) I just like to share the set-up for the new Omnia.
Shell SPB Mobile Shell (WAD/Throttle launcher too difficult, PointUI too slow, Ultimate Launcher - not finger friendly, various today items, todayagenda, resco contact manager, elecont quick desktop/resource - difficult to manage) System Memaid (SK tools too complicated not finger friendly, cleartemp good but also part of memaid) Fingerkeyboard (slightly better then samsung keyboard) MyMobiler (can control my PC remotely when connected, make life easy when installing apps, registry modification etc. -where you need to use PPC native services - not finger friendly environment) S2U2 (make the phone looks cool and don't need to press the 'off' button to lock the screen) Total Commander (Registry Editor) Calendar Thumbcal (try agendaone, icalendar, agendafusion but find this one the best) E-Book Reader ComicReader Mobi MS Reader Oxford 7 GPS Garmin MobileXT (try mapking, but garmin easier to get updated map and POI) Games Bejeweled2 Assasins Creed Multimedia S2P S2V |

QUOTE(Omnian @ Jul 28 2009, 12:31 PM) No dude. Grabbed that pic off the internet. Kind of tired of using the case. Especially when a call comes in and my omnia gets stuck Thought of getting invisible shield but I heard some reviews mentioning of the protective layer peeling off after some time. Anyone care to verify this? |

QUOTE(wkyoong @ Jul 28 2009, 01:57 PM) Oh. My apologies. I see. Well probably its worth a shot to try it. Should be better off than using this tight case. That's strange.During the time when I have not put on the IS, the Hard Case fitted very nicely with my device. The device will not drop out, but it is not so tight as you mentioned. Only after I installed the IS, it becomes very tight. Now, I seldom use the Hard Case. With IS, I just put it into my pocket and until now, there's no problem. |

yes, just got to remember installing IS is not an easy job (i took nearly one hour - and result not so good), but the phone will live happily in your pocket with key, coins etc.

QUOTE(Omnian @ Jul 28 2009, 03:30 PM) That's strange. My hard case seems to be quite tight. Probably its not authentic since it was a free gift from the seller. It physically looks like the original but somehow it "feels" a little inferior in terms of quality. I guess i'll give IS a try.
