can someone help me how to install ifonz 1.1.2 on my omnia? after install it says this application requires a newer version of the microsoft..what happens acctually

Hello fellow omnians. Seriously considering in getting my hands on an Omnia i900 sometime soon. Decided not to wait for the Omnia 2, a little too pricey to get a better screen, 3.5mm jack and new UI. Anyways, hope some of my queries can be answered:

-Will be used for on-the-go music playback with portable cans (Audio Technica SJ5). Wonder if the sound quality is good and is the output strong enough to easily drive portable cans?

-Is invisible helping alot in protecting the devices exterior? Read some reviews mentioning some un-protected areas around the device.

how would we know when omniapro is available? i bearly hear any samsung news

you must have Net.CFv3.5 install in order to run your ifonz

btw, not much you can do customize with ifonz, suggest you go for PointUI2

Why do you want to surf on a smaller screen when you can do it on your laptop, obviously, with a bigger screen?

Anyway, I don't think you can do that with your laptops connection, but you can the other way round.

i just want to try google map & enhanced GPS setting on omnia, coz that application required internet connection,

on the setting>enhanced GPS setting

there's "auto download when connected to PC via activeSync", that's why assume when omnia connected to the laptop,
it will get internet connection too.

unfortunately, extra data download is failed even on activesync.

correct me if i'm wrong,

i want to install applet to my point ui..how i can install a zip file to point ui..i just know how to install a cab file...sorry for stupid question..hehe

extract the zip file/folder then copy to POintUI Applet folder.

Enchanced GPS do update it's data when connected to Activesync. You have to checked that option.
But I don't think it's possible for Google Map or Internet.
Are you using WiFi for your lappy? You can set the Omnia to connect via WiFi.

hey guys.. i just wanna clarify something..
as far as i know the ROM of omnia is 256 and RAM is 128

however in my program memory and storage memory its about only 90++mb

i understand that for 1 of them, 30 mb is used for the OS but what happens to the other? 256 rom?

MS Office, Games, Applications, etc.

alrite so it is normal to have both about 90+mb then

There are no "Best one". All are very good, it depands on which one suits your need. They are the hard works of all the chefs.
Yes, there are many and all of them, as long as it's for i900 GSM, it will work for all country.

Custom ROMs or Cooked ROMs had some original applications removed or some third party applications added.
While removing applications that you don't use, will gain some on your "Storage" (ROM) and "Program" (RAM) space. And including some other applications save your time of finding and installing them.

I, personally, like shokka9's ROMs. His latest one is v17 running on WM6.5.

No problem, as long as it is not repeated over and over again.

One advise though, if you use any of the custom ROMs, DON'T complain but please give commend, to the chef.
