Looks like it's 16k, and the furthest and lowest peak among all category

Added on January 17, 2012, 9:28 am Any regular kaki here?

Where is the popular hiking trail around klang valley?
1) Bukit Saga (my training spot)
2) Broga (too crowded IMO)
3) Gasing - never been before
4) Bukit Tabur - would want to go again, only done once
5) Gunung Nuang / Camp Pacat - Never did but interested to do at least once
6) Templer park - if you consider that as hike it's quite nice actually
7) any other?

hike once with the member from meetup.com.. horrible experience.. not well organize and group leader dun have enough experience to guide.. total failure..

aiyo, orang bandar attitude. what u expect? 5 star service meh. the fun about this is unexpected event that call for everyone to find a solution , not just pointing finger to the leader. u could do something but u did not speak up and a experience hiker wouldnt want someone like this who have higher expectation . if he can't lead why not take up to him and once finish the hike, stay where it is rather than ranting your experience here.

If you love cycling and have a GPS, you might want to venture into the oil palm plantation nearby.

I saw in Google Earth that on the right bottom corner there might be a place to hike called Bukit Subang. From the pictures, it doesn't looked that high (215 ft) and that guy more likely took the pictures from Bukit Subang residental area whereby they have two water tower at Jalan Metafasa U16/1.

I define hill/ mountains as hiking and waterfall as trekking.

Lata Hammer aka Lata Perting is quite a dangerous place. Underwater current + 20 ft pool.

There are too many mountains to be list down. If you are interested of any place you came across, feel free to ask smile.gif

If you are looking for a camp site without require any hiking - the best to look for would be the forest reserve area. You can try out those picnic area such as Sungai Gabai, Sungai Tekala, Sungai Congkak etc.

There are campsite at FRIM but you need to get their approval. Call their number and enquire 03 - 6279 7000

Camp on private land? Along the way to Gunung Nuang at Batu 18. You will pass by lots of private property where they provide space to camp.

Another famous place to look forward for would be at Kampung Kemensah, Ampang. Just a 10-15 minutes drive from Zoo Negara.

If you are looking for camping sites without hiking you can actually do that in Chamang waterfalls in Bentong. You can just camp beside the carpark which is just beside the river. laugh.gif There are also toilet and bathing facilities there. Just after Bentong town on the road to Raub, lookout on the left for Chamang and drive till the end.

Talking about Pahang, you can actually hire a 4WD to this wonderful waterfall called Lata Berembun at Raub, Pahang. The agency will provide for you the camping shelter and food arrangement if requested.

Might as well buy a durable tent from Coleman first unless you have good money to fork to an ultralight tent. Damage RM200++. You can head to Jusco Mid Valley or UFL at Bangsar (the same row as McDonald)
