QUOTE(chtan @ Jun 17 2009, 09:34 PM)
Hey guys, i am currently looking for new 24" LCD to replace my aging Dell 24" 2407. Currently i am comparing -LGW2353V-PFV(http://www.mobile01.com/newsdetail.php?id=7666),
-Asus VW266H(http://www.mobile01.com/topicdetail.php?f=350&t=842698&r=2&last=12569210)
-Samsung T240.
Don't want to go back to Dell cause they are not good in gaming and suffer from ghosting on certain color's background.
My main usage is PS3, X360 and PC and my budget is round RM1.5K~RM2K.
Any recommendation?
*
With RM 2k you can buy 3 units of AOC 2434Pw 23.6 inch LCD (1 for Xbox360, 1 for PS3 and 1 for PC) rclxms.gif

I am using it for Xbox360 now and with its 60k DCR, all the dark scenes looks very sharp and detailed plus no ghosting at all.

If you are looking for premium models, then try HP W2448C or Asus VK266H (25.5").

I thought Samsung already phased out the T240 bcoz cant find it in most LYP shops last week.

Go for the AOC, unless you watch movie alot and play in total darkness. Then you can live with Acer's glossy screen.

How to unlock it? Pressing horizontally or vertically up or down? Does the unlock give any signal/sounds etc? Is the unlock mode distinguishable from the locked ?
*
I dont know why so many people have many problem to unlock the button. Probly I'm lucky, I just press the button as in the diagram and it work. You know you get it right when the button go in, and you can adjust the height.
Another thing, dont know if this happen to any of you, I have to set my graphic card(ATI) to use overscan so the display will cover the whole screen, by default, theres a gap around the frame.

Yeah, I just got a s2409w recently and indeed the back light bleeding is pretty minimal. Besides, the color is so so much better than my old Dell 22". Now using dual monitor setup and my old 22" screen is very yellowish compares to my new monitor.

Very much i like to buy each console with their own screen but unfortunately space is very much my constrain smile.gif .

I'm a bit over Asus VK/VM 26" model but it very hard to locate one in Pg. sad.gif
Frankly, i'm a bit skeptic about playing console with monitor cause my x360 play ugly on my Dell 24" Ultra sharp 2407wpc. The image and graphic look bloated and pixalated, just not as crisp as my 42"Plasma. The worse is when is switch to PS2, it even worse.
By the way, do you have any experience with LG? Their W53 series look very promising. I especially like the W2353V-PFV which spots 2ms respond time and 50000:1 dyn.contrast.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your feedback. Will take a look in AOC.....hum where can i find AOC in Pg hmm.gif

Update:

Just checked up AOC, wow their spec. is very respectable. I'm eying on their 26" 619Fh. Where can i get this in Pg? Anyone, help....
Thanks.

Because he set the 24p playback on the PS3. It worked fine after he turned it off.

2209WA is E-IPS
Advantage : Better viewing angle and colour

G2410 is TN.
Advantage : 1920x1080
2" larger. biggrin.gif

It depended what you want is the most important factor.
