Wow... you guys are pretty hardcore going 24+ inches....

I'm looking to get the T220 and lookign aroudn this forum for info... seems T220 is not "update" enough these days?!

Bought a Samsung P2350 yesterday. Everything looks nice blah blah.. but I dont feel too confident about the stability of the thing. Just make sure you have a stable/sturdy table cause if you get excited playing games and push your table the monitor might topple over

Before that I looked at Acer H233H as well, retailing for about $640. Anyway, the colour looks much nicer etc cause of the glossy screen, BUT... it's a huge BUT... it's reflective as hell. If your room have any hint of light... you might find the reflections a tad distracting.

HDMI cable : Isnt that more or less the same as DIV cables? Both digital? (sorry I kinda didnt research too much into this subject).

H233H : They are using chimei lcd panel?

Anyway, yesterday when I finally installed the the samsung P2350..I noticed a black dot at the bottom left corner of the screen (about 2 inches away from the corner). OMG!!! Dead pixel!!!! Samsung have a 7 days zero dead pixel tolerance policy... hope I can get a replacement from Viewnet.. gonna ask them later.

Update on Samsung's DPP : Viewnet have been very helpful, but they cant give me a replacement I need to deal directly with Samsung. Called Samsung, yeah they can replace.. upon approval.. and it only takes about 2 weeks....

After this episode, my respect for Samsung just went down the hill... but Viewnet will definitely be my number 1 store for all future purchases!

Actually those "white pixel" are dead pixel, it's when the pixel is on permanent "off" state that's why it's white. It's waaayyy more visible and annoying then a "black" spot. A black dot is not a dead pixel, it's more like permanently stuck to "ON" state, that's why it's black. It blends in more when you using programs (games), so less noticeable.

Just wondering.. you guys play games on those 24" ++ LCD meh? I look at my 23" inch playing MMO also like too big already.

IMHO, you either go 4770 or 4870. 4850 is only slightly better then 4770 and cost about $150 more? Due to 4770 being out of stock (for the rest of this month? DDR5 supply small leh...), I'm thinking of going with 4870 myself... now to decide which brand..

Need some expert advice here bros!

My Samsung P2350 (bougth less then 1 week)... I have been noticing some flickering red dots (and once awhile, flickering red lines) when I play warhammer on it. Atfirst I thought it's my onboard vid card too low spec, but then yesterday I bought a new 4890 card and it's still the same.

So I took out the DIV cable... and use a normal VGA cable instead. The problem went away.

So... you guys think it's the DIV cable? Connector? Cannot be I didnt plug it in correctly cause I screwed it as tight as possible already...

Um.. when you come down to it.. DVI/HDMI both essentially the same thing mah..

Understand AOC is OEM manufacturer for Dell? That model is a steal for the specs, but the H233H is also a close competitor, ofcourse the glossy screen put off some buyers (oh and there is only glossy screen version).

Eh eh.. some people willing to pay thousands of dollars for an extra 1 inch leh!

Water works fine... but if you really wanna go premium kind.. use Evian Mineral Water

P2350 : within 6 days use... streaks of red lines both vertical/horizontal! Yesterday go back Viewnet... the technician took 1 look at it, wrap it up, and gave me a new one (monitor only, parts all still old ones..).

Total damage : 30 minutes to exchange/inspect, 20 minutes looking for a parking in Low Yat, 20 minutes jam outside lowyat and RM2 parking.

Um... if you got Dell.. then you are probably using AOC stuff.. cause they are the OEM manufacturer for Dell, HP, etc

Contrast Ratio (or some called Static Contrast Ratio) and Dynamic Contrast Ratio is a big difference wor...

Ya, 60000:1 is monstrous. I gotta agree specs wise nothing in the market beats the 24" AOC around the same price range. However, I took 1 look at the frame quality, and the stand (silver urks!) design and decided I cant live with that. But after I had to exchange my P2350 in less then 1 week, I also no more confidence in "premium" brand quality as well...

Everyone going for AOC cause it's the best bang-for-buck LCD out there right now. As for "better" known brand, all is luck one.. my P2350 (Samsung) also die in less then 1 week (37 hours use to be exact).

1 black dot (pixel continuously "ON"), and screen starts to have multiple red flickering dots (more then 50 dots scattered around the screen) when displaying certain image (usually red colour + blue most obviously). Then.. streaks of red lines all around the screen. Thats when I got a 1:1 exchange.

great deal on this Monitor. RM399 is a hard to beat price.
