Guys, sorry but I'm in dilemma of choosing again doh.gif

My friend, a photographer said Dell Ultrasharp series is good for photo editing as it's 16:10 and the contrast ratio is 2000:1 for Dell Ultrasharp 2009W

So, should I get Dell Ultrasharp series but only 20" or Samsung 2333SW ?

Really appreciate once again.

For me, i'd go for Samsung 2333SW...Coz it's using 16:9 aspect ratio, while Dell Ultrasharp 2009W is 16:10 aspect ratio...
Summore, Samsung 2333SW is newer than Dell Ultrasharp 2009W... smile.gif

Non-TN panels are quite pricey, example is Apple's 30" Cinema Display.. sweat.gif Anyway I believe Dell has a 22" which uses IPS instead of TN... costs about RM1K+ though.. tongue.gif

That new Dell 22" is rather good but it's not really available to be ordered or anything. And honestly, I doubt most retailers wouldn't stock premium panels since most people just want it big and cheap.

There's another one from HP, I forgot the model number but it's a 22" and goes for around 2k, could be found in HP's website, naturally.

I think the HP LCD that u mentioned is the 24 inch-er instead of the 22 inch-er

Need help on this, yesterday i bought a HDMI cable for my W2409f. When i turn on everything is ok, but after restart. the bios background turn to green. Then i change the one option in LCD OSD Frm Ypbpr.. to RGB,
then everythings fine. but after i restart the setting go back to Ypbpr...
i have to change it the option in OSD everytime i boot the PC .
is there any way i can make the LCD stay as what i set on the OSD? (not happen when im on DVI)

one more question : which is better rgb & ypbpr

22" for 2k? Which model from HP....Im using HP w2228h, it's now seling at RM799...
Maybe that 22" isnt LCD monitor....Is LED monitor i think...
*
There's a premium to pay to go for non-TN panel type LCD monitors.
The one i'm referring to is here
http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/my/en/sm/WF...71-3648453.html

It's a PVA type. but at 2k, might as well go for the Dell 2408WFP which is a premium panel but cheaper than the HP one. 6 months ago, 2k for a PVA 22" would be alright but this price is so old, i doubt anyone would want to buy it anymore.

It's quite hard to notice the difference between 2ms and 5ms. I've had a 8ms (LG brand), and I can notice some ghosting effect while playing RA3, really makes me dizzy. After using 2333SW now, the ghosting is gone, so don't worry about the 5ms/2ms much.

The thing that you should take into consideration is the Contrast Ratio (the higher it is, the better you can see the differences between black and white. 10000:1 or above is really recommended for playing scary games)

Another thing is the color, which is really important for those who use their monitor for entertainment (movie), or graphic designing.

Last thing is the design, depends on your taste. icon_rolleyes.gif
