ah, no need to pay before hand? then how come that sales person collect that RM68 from me?????? actually its not celcom that i go to coz there had been a long queue, so i head to K&K (agent for celcom i think). but till now, its not activated yet leh, so i put in my 3G phone, still saying no service. normally how long it takes before u can use?

The celcom-vodafone usb modem not priced at RM333 meh? i wanted to buy, but the shop price at RM486, saying 333 is for signing up contract, which really amuse meh, if sign up contract, i thought the modem is free???

i have an old nokia 7390, anyone can advise how to use it as 3G modem? coz i want to try if my house can use before buying that modem.

abt dealing thr agents, u can get advice fr forumer/moderator fruitie abt her experience

abt modem, my place here is selling the usb slim stick for rm399 BUT dun use it cause it emits a lot of heat
instead buy ZTE MF622. its the best and cool even after using for 12 hrs non stop. buy fr garage sale for rm350 wif 365 days warranty

abt fon, forget it cause it will eventually spoilt your fon

very true. nowadays celcom monitor usage very strictly. a few MB after 5GB, throttle!

Seems like what they're upgrading all this time was their capping system sweat.gif

well, from economic point of view, it is cheaper to upgrade throttling system than adding bandwidth for over 200k users. just a few super servers, running 24/7. cheap and good for celcom.

any cap for this EDGE connection?

wat device u use to connect?
*
No cap. I don't know how much I downloaded after using it for 2 months, but the true fact, no speed reduction for whole month. smile.gif

I'm using Huawei E220 and sometimes N81

True, with the Fair Usage Policy, Celcom knows that they still have enough bandwidth to cater for new subscribers without having the need to upgrade their backbone.
