If your friend is also facing similar problems, it is better if you contact their customer support.

ah, no need to pay before hand? then how come that sales person collect that RM68 from me?????? actually its not celcom that i go to coz there had been a long queue, so i head to K&K (agent for celcom i think). but till now, its not activated yet leh, so i put in my 3G phone, still saying no service. normally how long it takes before u can use?

The celcom-vodafone usb modem not priced at RM333 meh? i wanted to buy, but the shop price at RM486, saying 333 is for signing up contract, which really amuse meh, if sign up contract, i thought the modem is free???

ah, i have an old nokia 7390, do u think its faster to use it as a modem compared to the other 3G modem? is it faster tru bluetooth or infrared? if can't use, which modem would u guys recommend? i have a Dell XPS 1330, i wonder if the sim card slot under the battery tray is a modem. have to try once mine is activated.

Probably some temporary surge or static. Nowadays the lightning is really hitting real hard. wink.gif

it happened to me too. not today though. sometimes cannot even detect 3G for an hour or so. last year even the heaviest rain or storm, signal is still quite good. think celcom did something. but it is understandable given the condition of rain n storm.

just that now the upload speed is extremely slow. especially for those capped. i must say using celcom now, especially D98 is kinda waste of money. went to maxis today to check on 3G broadband. i think maxis is tricking ppl. they say they abolish the contract but in reality, it still exists, just being rephrased into some other thing.

every new application requires RM100 (not advance payment or deposit). it is the installation fee something like that. it is not stated in the website for some reasons. so i was quite shocked. then if terminate be4 2 years, need to pay RM200. it is the same wif old contract... last time, installation fee FOC but termination of contract is RM300 if i am not mistaken. so quite expensive.

planning to go to celcom point tml and complain about the slow upload. so sick of being unable to attach any files... if they cant rectify this problem, i guess i have to switch although maxis would cost alot more. wish digi is in my area. 50GB is way more than enuf for my monthly usage...

Since my billing cycle is on 24th, I don't bother to wait for it to get my speed unthrottled till then.
I'll terminate my D98 later and apply for D68 on the spot. I'm not going to downgrade my package as my account is already having capped speed.

Crazy. RM 98 for dial-up speed? doh.gif If only Malacca were to have more choices, I'll definitely ditch Celcom broadband for good. 2 more months and I'll off from MMU and begin my career in Klang Valley. Till then, I've more choices. Thank God. sweat.gif
