QUOTE(corez @ Mar 3 2009, 09:57 PM)
When we get our 18, we WILL be the most successful club DOMESTICALLY in Enguland.

WHY?

We level in league with them rite? 18 for both.

Next we look at the second most prestigous trophy in Enguland which is the FA Cup. We won it more than them. 11 vs 7

So domestically the tally is (League and FA Cup)

18-11 VS 18-7

The reasoning above is just like how we determine the Premier league. In the event of same points accumulated they look at the Goal Difference. The same reasoning with being equal on league tally, lets look at the next prestigous Trophy which is FA Cup.

So IF we win it this time, we would not be on equal footing (i.e. sharing the same perch) but will effectively knock em of the perch biggrin.gif and be crowned the most successful club DOMESTICALLY in Enguland. (Europe lain cite since we are 2 winnings below em)

BTW, any Liverpool fans willing to argue with my reasoning, feel free to do so.

i beg to differ
remember ronaldo's offside goal against derby at Fa cup
it's ben's distribution who contribute to that beauty
although sometimes its slow
but i prefer he throw it accurately slower than simply throw very fast
*
My argument from the start is that he distributes SLOW - I've never touched on accuracy or power in kicks/throws. What's up with you people getting all over excited about defending players? The reactions I've been getting is like I yelled "Ben Foster is shyt - kick him out!". Zzzzzzz~

Liverpool 18-5 can be easily overtake by Man Utd... just five us 3 more years and we'll be 20-6 oledi whistling.gif

By the way, i think winning the Carling cup is a vital step to chase our glory dreams. You can see every time we win the League Cup/Carling Cup, Man Utd will continue with their superb form on trophy winning.
Giggs last time did mentioned that the Carling Cup will give the youngster a taste of glory and directly raise their hunger. Hope it will be no exception this time as well rolleyes.gif

Thats why I mention DOMESTIC. We overtake them 1 by 1, domestically first for starters.

Mass suicide would ensue..especially since they cling to that title for so long. In europe, they are nothing compare to RM and Milan. What is left for them to be? laugh.gif

hey guys... if I remember correctly, the winner of Carling Cup will be given a chance to play in UEFA competition next season. Am I right?
If this is the case, can we contest in 2 Europe competitions (UEFA & CL) next year? Damn, should let Spurs win the final so that UEFA competition will not be wasted tongue.gif

IIRC, in the event of the Carling Cup winner already qualified for another Europe competitions, the spot will be handed to 6th place in BPL.

I think the 6th place in league will get this Spot since we will qualify for the next season UCL.

Milan target United defender

QUOTE
AC MILAN are plotting a summer swoop for Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic.

The Italian giants are desperate to bring a world class centre-back to the San Siro and have made the classy Serb their No1 target.

Reports in Italy claim Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi is ready to splash the cash in the transfer window to rebuild his ageing squad.

And he has earmarked Vidic to partner January recruit Thiago Silva in a new-look backline next season.

Milan are currently third in Serie A, two points ahead of Fiorentina, and any deal for Vidic could hinge on the club securing a Champions League spot.

LOL finally Milan is thinking about replacing all the old legs. Yeah I thought it's purely speculation as well. Not even for 30M.

I thought he was too fast at times, and too slow at times. With the game being tight, guess he didnt found any options. And with that shorty upfront, have to think lots of times before booting it up. And with Spurs attacking, sometimes need to take the load off by holding onto the ball a while.

Need to watch the game again to confirm though. But I'm not gonna sit through it again. His distribution is one his main strength. Those long throws, and his kicking.. awesome.

Yep, as I mentioned before, I rate them higher than Kuzzy's. It's just his distribution speed that annoys me - more accurately, his indecisiveness when it comes to choosing how to distribute / who to distribute the ball to. Too used to Van Der Sar's I guess.
