That's what I thought too. Although I'm more concerned about whether or not the FA will alter their rules in order to not permit this from happening again -__-

Added on March 3, 2009, 11:53 amAaaanyway, mau complain a tiny bit about Ben Foster. His distributions are slow - be it kicks or throws. His kicks are better than Kuzzy's but it's not use if he can't kick em early enough for the lads to do counterattacks.

Ben: Mau kick to Tevez? Or baling to Rio? Or to Scholesy? Or to... who ah?

Rio: (ZZZ...)

Sometimes being a goalkeeper it is always better to calm things first than straight away throwing/distributing the ball...

It all depends.. experience will help him later...

People all criticize us for winning the 'worthless cup' but to me, the satisfaction that comes most is from the young players making their name not just from the final but throughout the tournament.. We have many young players that is capable to play for the future of the club... including 2 safe goalkeepers as well.. That is the most satisfying point in my opinion...

Simply because they can't taste the grape...

anyway for me winning this cup should be useful at the end of the season if we manage to do a clean sweep on trophies.

Didn't Pool count this trophy in their "mickey mouse" treble year?

It reminds me of The Great Dane
Single-handedly throw the ball past half a field to launch a counter attack. That is awesome. Till now you will hardly see a GK who can outperform him in this!

Good. We are now back to footie talk, no more gay talks tongue.gif biggrin.gif

Foster can throw far too. I like him more than PIG (PIG = Pole In Goal = Kuszczak biggrin.gif). Foster is more confident dealing with crosses than PIG. Just hope he can stay away from injuries.

Foster's kicking and throwing power are outstanding.

He kicked the ball from his box, and it almost reaches the opponent's 6 yard box.

HOW AMAZING IS THAT!? And he's a leftie too.

Looks like he's a worthy successor to VDS, except he's kinda short, no?

He might be the English Casillas.

He looks short from the photos or TV but he is actually quite tall - 6' 2'' (1.88m).

Well, usually a goalkeeper should be 1.9m and above.

Kuszczak (HOLY CRAP I GOT IT RIGHT ON FIRST ATTEMPT) is 1.91m.

VDS is so tall.

Casillas is 1.85m, and he's shorter than Foster, but he's awesome.

Shows that Foster has the potential to be the English Casillas. Woo!

Short? Foster is quite tall eh! Doesn't he look tall? He looks tall to me anyway.

Anyway ah, the ipod thing don't really bother me. Usually for goalies will watch videos of opposition players in anticipation of a penalty shoot-out, so no difference if you watch it from the ipod or before the match. You don't watch it also can what, the goalkeeping coach will have done his research and if there's a shoot-out, just tell the goalie which way he should go for which player only.

Ok I take back what I said about Foster being short lol.

I said he's short because I compared him to VDS, thats why.

In the last World Cup, didn't Lehmann actually said that he was passed on a piece of note/paper stating which penalty taker will go which way with his shot?

We only improve it by making use of technology available to us! laugh.gif

Don't think Ronaldo will leave. All the more should we get the Quintuple.

The only person who can replace Cr7 at Man Utd is Messi
That being said, I don't think he'll come as he seems to be having his time of his life at Barca..

yup, and he kept in inside his socks so that he can refer. Too bad Steele didn't passed his ipod to him during the penalty shootout. Not only cannot hear the crowd which reduced the anxiety but also imagine hearing "O'Hara will be shooting left, dived to your left" thumbup.gif This is what I called innovation whistling.gif Confirm will be forfeited by FA though tongue.gif
