And if we need to find a center back that is close to Vidic, i would say the best is Michael Dawson. Always impressed with him.
But it's very hard for us to lure out a Totenham's player once again . |

what matters for me is the club. no matter CR7 leaves or stay who the club decides to bring in, its still all about Manchester United. We can thank him for the years and for his contribution, but if he has to be persuaded to stay then there is no point for him to be here anymore. just my opinion.

Last I checked, footballers have schlongs. Also, we are talking about footballer's schlong. So that's footy talk ain't it??@ mood: shaddap la...tak abis-abis pasal schlong... Much rather talk about schlongs than who we should buy and all that crap which if I'm honest, irritates the hell out of me. This post has been edited by air_mood: Mar 3 2009, 05:18 PM |

I bet SAF will persuade CR to break Pool's record first before he's going to leave.
it is now 17-3. One or three seasons more, we might just be the most successful english club in the world as if we aren't already are in terms of marketing and global brand name. and I heard some bullshit over the radio this morning on how Rafa blames the absence of Torres cost them their title challenge. And which means "Liverpool are nothing without Torres"?
I heard that before many people said "Manchester United are nothing without Ronaldo". Explain. |

Foster eyes Edwin's spot
QUOTE Ben Foster is looking to cement his place as Manchester United's first choice, amid widespread talk the club are preparing a new contract for the goalkeeper. A week in which Foster emerged as United's Carling Cup final hero could get even better for the 25-year-old, as it has been suggested a new four-year deal may be tabled. Sunday's penalty shoot-out defeat of Tottenham at Wembley saw Foster produce a match-winning display between the posts, as he saved Jamie O'Hara's spot-kick to see United home. Having overcome cruciate ligament surgery last year, and a succession of niggling injuries this term, Foster is determined to further press his claims for a regular starting berth. Contract talks "I've got 16 months left and nothing has been said about a new contract, but I'm sure there will be no worries," he said. "I don't want to even think about leaving United. "The two years I had on loan at Watford, playing week in, week out, were great. I want that here. "I've not spoken to the manager about next season so I don't know how things will pan out. I have just got to keep doing my best and we will see what happens. "I am at the biggest club in the world and I want to stay here for as long as I can. "Hopefully, I'll have a decade or more here and I want this Carling Cup to be the first of many more trophies to come my way." Capello watching The evergreen Edwin van der Sar needs to be usurped before Foster can think about international honours but having convinced Sir Alex Ferguson of his credentials, approval from Fabio Capello is now in his sights. "When we went up for the trophy Fabio Capello shook my hand and said 'well done'. It was the first time I had spoken to the man," he added in The Sun. "I've got my eyes on being in the England squad for the World Cup finals in South Africa next summer. That's a big target for me, like any player. "David James is the England No1 but there are a lot of keepers scrambling for places underneath him - Green, Carson, Kirkland, Robinson, Hart. "I've not been in a squad since Fabio Capello took over because of injuries. And I accept Capello can't pick anyone who isn't playing regularly." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_4997325,00.html |

Rooney returns for Reds
QUOTE Wayne Rooney has recovered from the virus that kept him out of Sunday’s Carling Cup final win over Tottenham and is fit for United’s Premier League trip to Newcastle on Wednesday. The 23-year-old only recently returned from five weeks out with a hamstring injury, and after only a cameo appearance against Internazionale last week and missing out on the Wembley final, he'll be raring to go after training on Monday and Tuesday. This is a fixture Rooney should relish; he's scored eight goals in ten games against them since joining United in 2004. Sir Alex will "freshen up" the team that played 120 minutes against Spurs, with John O'Shea being the only injury doubt for the St James' Park visit. "We took him off on Sunday because of this problem with his heel," said the Reds boss. "It's settled down and we're going to try some new soles in his boots. Hopefully he'll be OK." United may have a seven-point lead at the top of the table, while Newcastle languish two points above the drop zone, but even in the absence of Joe Kinnear, who underwent heart surgery recently, they have taken a respectable five points from their last four games. "It'll be tough," admits Sir Alex. "I'll need to freshen up the team because it was a heavy pitch at Wembley. It took its toll, there were a lot of tired players at the end. We've got Berbatov, Park, Fletcher, Carrick, Rooney and Anderson who didn't play the whole game. They can come back in and I hope that freshness helps." Sir Alex will also recall Edwin van der Sar, despite Ben Foster’s fine display and penalty shoot-out heroics at Wembley. http://www.manutd.com/default.sps?pagegid=...&newsid=6628259 |

One or three seasons more, we might just be the most successful english club in the world as if we aren't already are in terms of marketing and global brand name. and I heard some bullshit over the radio this morning on how Rafa blames the absence of Torres cost them their title challenge. WHY? We level in league with them rite? 18 for both. Next we look at the second most prestigous trophy in Enguland which is the FA Cup. We won it more than them. 11 vs 7 So domestically the tally is (League and FA Cup) 18-11 VS 18-7 The reasoning above is just like how we determine the Premier league. In the event of same points accumulated they look at the Goal Difference. The same reasoning with being equal on league tally, lets look at the next prestigous Trophy which is FA Cup. So IF we win it this time, we would not be on equal footing (i.e. sharing the same perch) but will effectively knock em of the perch BTW, any Liverpool fans willing to argue with my reasoning, feel free to do so. |
