Charlton hails in-form GiggsQUOTE Manchester United director Sir Bobby Charlton believes that midfielder Ryan Giggs is playing the best football of his career.
The Welshman has rolled back the years with some virtuoso displays this season playing a starring role in big games such as Chelsea at home and more recently at Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League.
The 35-year-old surpassed Charlton's record number of appearances for the club last season when he came off the bench in the Champions League final against Chelsea.
Giggs' form has been so impressive this season that it has even had some people suggesting that he could be in line to be named PFA Player of the Year, an award he has unbelievably never won.
"I think it's the best season he's had since he's been at the club," Charlton told Sky Sports News.
"He's just making all the right decisions and he's making all the important challenges and tackles and scoring important goals.
"He's a beautiful player to watch, he's a lovely player to look at. He moves so smoothly, I'm very proud of him and in fact all of our young players."
Talent
Charlton also had words of praise for Carling Cup hero Ben Foster and backed the keeper to stake a real claim for the No.1 shirt next season.
"He's got terrific talent," he added.
"He seized the moment. He's going to make it very hard for Edwin van der Sar over the next year or so because he's a marvellous talent."
After the Carling Cup success, United are in line to collect an unprecedented five trophies this term but Charlton says it will be tough.
"People are saying Manchester United can possibly win five trophies this year. I'm not going to say we're not going to do it, we'll have a go," he said.
"The league is not over. We have too many games to play and we have too many good teams to play against.
"We are favourites but it's not a foregone conclusion."
Marvel
With United challenging on five fronts, the Red Devils legend is in doubt who is the instigator behind the team's success.
"I marvel at Sir Alex Ferguson," he admitted.
"His decision making and the communication with his players and the association and the affiliation and the affection in a way, his players give him back because they respect him because he's an unbelievable individual.
"He is unique. We are fortunate he is our manager."
The 71-year-old also confirmed that the club had not contemplated thinking about the day when Ferguson finally calls time on his illustrious managerial career which has seen him collect 24 trophies in over 22 years at Old Trafford.
"It has never been discussed at our club. When it does come that he decides to take it more easily we will think about it but there is nobody in mind at the moment," he admitted. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_4994082,00.html

QUOTE(mizivincible @ Mar 2 2009, 08:52 PM) Frank Ribery tidak kacak MU has proven able to handle the beautiful as well as the ugly in the squad. Just get rid of Teveth to make way for Ribery so that we do not exceed the ugly quota. What kind of winger is Ribery anyway? Style very different to Naldo?

Just get rid of Teveth to make way for Ribery so that we do not exceed the ugly quota. What kind of winger is Ribery anyway? Style very different to Naldo? Rarely watch Ribery, he is skillful, fast pace but will he be able to handle the physical challenge from BPL defenders ? What I meant was to possess the #7 you gotta have versatility and that includes ke-kacak-ness, look at our previous #7s (I still want a handsome player hahaha). And Tevez is proven, he has very low percentage on losing possession to opponents, tremendous work rate too. QUOTE(redscorpion @ Mar 2 2009, 11:26 PM) fixed! sorry sheep Manucho tak kacak ke ? *Does anyone tell you he looks just like Denzel Washington ? *Petikan daripada tayangan gambar White Chick.
