How long it's take for a new registration to be activated? Register 1pm but still not able to use the broadband...

I am wondering about pre-launch package. Why the download speed can goes up to 24Mb/s?? I thought the modem can only handle 7.2Mbps?? Lolz. But... How nice if i'm using that package. Really awesome speed.

I am on prelaunch package and I can't even get 6.5mbps
The ones who got 24mbps is darn "lucky"

Kudos to DiGi, even though I'm having multiple issues with the service, the CS is always tip-top the way DiGi has always been renowned for. I get frequent contacts from them via phone and this board!

edge about 280kb I believe.. if you are student can get campus simpack.. can use egde for RM30 max / month.. super cheap for a student..

BTW my line already activated.. about 5-6 hour.. Discover campus plan.. it seems digi capped the speed to 1Mbps.. so their ads saying 700kbps average is correct.

if im not wrong...
the line is usually activated at 12am the next day so that u will have
one full day use of the internet to be on the fair side.

i bought the RM88 package from a dealer in sunway uni college.
and i live in ss19...
i barely get any speed at all...
wondering wad is the problem

is it true?? yesterday the dg salesmen said dg broadband goes unlimited?? i confused  rclxub.gif

Don't be confused with the word "unlimited"... The unlimited over here meant "Unlimited browsing with throttle speed"... In other words, you can still browse the net after over your monthly limit, e.g 3GB for Discover or >RM138 on monthly bill, but the speed will be capped at ~230kbps or EDGE speed, i think. But, the faq in Digi website says 128kbps only (which i doubt Digi will cap to such a low speed)

This is how the FUP works... so, there is no so called "Unlimited browsing with full speed". Unless you're subscribing to this kind of packages which usually come higher premium.

Yes, you brought up a very interesting finding. The modem is only capable of handling up to 7.2Mbps. Probably its experimental speeds (ahem... anyone heard of LTE? tongue.gif) On a side note, I think the Extreme plan's modems are capable of antenna diversity. Antenna diversity means the antenna is able to receive different channels simultaneously at different receive modes. This theoretically multiplies the capable link speed. Of course real world or effective speeds will be different. However, I only remember antenna diversity upping the uplinks to 2Mbps and more. Nothing done on the downlinks.

It is also meant to address GSM radio limitations in the city where we have the near-far phenomenon as well as multi-path phenomenon inherent in radio propagation.

Maybe the CS gave you wrong information cause i don't think that digi has implemented a way for you to check your bandwidth with digi online yet..

Digi is still working on the solution for customer to check usage status.... as far as i know, the solution is still not ready... so, i also think that the CS had not given the updated info...

The up to 14.4Mbps is the modem capability. Maxis and Celcom modems can go up to 7.2Mbps but couldn't get that fast depending on package. Don't get confused.

Its not the modem capability
Its DiGi's broadband network architecture
