Currently there are two choices:
1. ATR72
2. Airbus A320.

Assalamualaikum / Salam Sejahtera,

Currently I'm aircraft approval holder for local airline, with CAAM ( former DCAM) Cat A license.

I want to ask whether can Cat A license upgrade to B2?

So far I checked AN not mentioned about upgrading license. Afraid mislooked.

If not then need to start fresh Cat B2..

Thank you in advance.

Hi all,

I'm a EASA part 66 course grad student. I did all 13 modules and I've already passed it all above 75%. Now I'm looking for places to do my OJT as a technician. I was told that I need to at least gain a 2 years experience and finish collecting task in my logbook then I can apply with EASA form19.

In 2019 i don't know if the rules and regulation have changed since 10 years ago.

My questions are:
1. Is there any company in Malaysia that will accept and hire me for being a EASA holder? What are the chances? If yes please let me know which company.
2. Whats my next step to be a LAME.
3. Is it possible to hold a EASA license in malaysia and work for a company who implement EASA. Which means company who accept EASA holder. Which I don't need to do any conversion to CAAM.

Sorry if my questions are a little off. I tried my best to explain it. Any EASA holder please give me some advice. Thank you

I’m an easa Holder, and I’m doing the conversion to work and practise my privilege in Malaysia.

So far my easa license seems like a 200k worth of painting. I just hang it as my decoration.

May I ask which company you’re working for?
So there’s not one company who accept Easa Holder in malaysia? What if I applied to a overseas MRO?
How much for the conversion?

Where was your training school? Have u gotten your basic license?

Local company in subang. I use the maintenance exp I gain there to get my easa license coz they send their aircraft to Singapore for phase check.

I was in Etihad airways too and there’s nothing u can do to convert easa license to gcaa license unless u have one type endorsed.

My current conversion is under a program, I don’t have to do the modules exam. Cost me Rm10k.

I don’t know if you heard of Aviation Australia? Actually I haven’t got my license yet I need to first get 2 years experience in the industry and a complete logbook. If I hasn’t misunderstood the whole situation here that’s what I need to do for now.

May I ask which company in subang. You could dm me too if it’s not okay for you to share to public.

Means there’s no future for EASA in malaysia that is a fact right. Don’t mind me if I ask more about the program?

Ohh I was there 2010-2012.

The conversion program only for those who gotten their license before June 2017. A lot of my friend and junior didn’t eligible and Cat A or redo the whole course is the only option. All the best and good luck.
