Hello.

Can anyone guide me on which of this diploma(refer link) programs is the right one to take after my SPM results come out if I intend on becoming a LAME eventually. What is the difference? I can see there is an Aircraft Maintenance License Program, how does that differ from the diplomas? I know it's all about the license and type ratings that we have but since there are so many people out there nowadays with qualifications to be a LAME, wouldn't it be plus to have a diploma/degree/etc?

I know having a diploma is not at all a requirement for being A LAME.

But let's just say that this is the route I want to take.

Yes, this might be a stupid question.

But I do appreciate any help.

My b1 and b2 147 cert came with b1 and b2 diploma cert.

Anyone can share info about MAS MH Graduate Trainee Programme? Do the trainee will get a chance to enter MAS and what type of training will they give?

definitely is not engineering. its for those front line, check in counter,tolong angkat bag, help with self check in counter or those with heavy paperwork divisions. cheap labour. if u got KLIA, find those who are baju putih laugh.gif

Hello there, im afif 2014 spm leaver. you guys seem to know much about aviation. I want to be an LAE , i got DTS offer for pursuing my DCAM part 66 there, in your opinion, is tht good enough for me to be an LAE or it's better for me to have my back up by pursuing diploma in UniKL MIAT then continue 4 yrs to join EASA part 66 progrmme under UniKL MIAT? oh and i know DCAM part 66 is different with EASA part 66 . I really need help , thanks much! smile.gif

Hello everyone, just wanna ask something about part 66 exam question. is it true tht we dont allow to use calculator at all? sorry for noob question but i really want to know it. If anyone and otai here have the experience in taking these exams, dont mind sharing with me . im glad to hear it smile.gif oh 18 yrs old and planning to join DTS to become an LAE.

Yes ure not allowed to.

But then it's very easy numbering tho..they want to know more on how u apply the concept .

oh souunds great. so basically can we take both b1 and b2 in any ATOs in Malaysia??

i dont think so..just focus on one which is your core..u can always change trade or add sub trade later on by taking different module.

if u did b1.1 basically u will do mod 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,15 and 17.

so if u wanna go for b1.2 which turbine rotary,u have to take mod 12 only.

but if u wanna go for b2,u have to retake mod 4,5 and 13,14..

dont think too much,just focus on one trade first,and get a job and get your license.

Correction, b1.3 is turbine rotary haha. b1.1 will be taking Mod 11 and 17(propeller) while b1.3 takes mod12, without 11 and 17.

By the way, just saw this on Facebook, this news seriously takes the cake on the problem we have in this industry, which is every 'education' institute is trying to jump on the Aviation bandwagon to earn a quick buck.

They wont close training school since everyone need recurrent training. Maybe certain services will be stopped.
