Hey i need some help..I'm currently enrolled in Singapore Polytechnic and studying for a Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering.. and yes I am a Malaysian.. After my 3 year course I am  eligible to receive apprenticeship to become a LAME.. but to enrol in SIA engineering company i have to be a PR sad.gif.. Can anyone tell me where else i can receive apprenticeship? I prefer to study in either Singapore(without PR requirement) Japan or Korea..

MIAT offer you Dip.+ LWTR
This is strictly LWTR so MIAT is out of the question.
Now left with 2 schools.
One is only for FELDA children and MAS staff.. you can strike that out.
The balance is your answer.  tongue.gif

Personally, if you want my advice, I'd say go to GA.
Honestly this is where the MONEY is! Forget the glamour of working with big jets and big airlines.. GA pays the same or better.
What career advancement? You're a licensed engineer! The whole engineering dept and functions is YOU! laugh.gif

C'mon DCA is the authority lah. Type courses are conducted by the aircraft manufacturers.. you go to them either sent by the company or pay the course by yourself. Most gA outfit is small.. so think small. They wont be having set ups like MAS or AA or TML.
Do you know whats the difference between Aeroplane I and II syllabus?
There is a MAJOR shortage of LAEs in GA, rotary wing included. Anyone with just LWTR will be offered a job in a snap.

Ponder this: is there ANY LWTR holder, LAE that is out of job?
However there are thousand of flight cadets right now without a job... wink.gif

i meant career advancement like how many type courses that can be gotten. nvm this:)

i meant by the dca is because like twin otter, dca carries out the oral examination. correct me if im wrong. i maybe misled tongue.gif

Aeroplane 1 n 2 i do not know, havent come across yet..thats y im asking:P but i know what the job details, unpressurized, wood, composite etc etc

question: whats the starting pay at GA for someone with only AnC but has not been given any type approval? i know it differs from company to company, just a rough estimate.

question: i heard, that once u have 4 type approval in GA, there is some privilege? im not sure bout the details. will companies pay according to type like in airlines?

question: will there be QA oral examination like those in airlines in GA?
