Oh ok. Thanks. How about the non package data plan, is it 5 cent/MB even thought not on home network? Currently the place i stayed don't have U-Mobile coverage yet and currently running on domestic roaming under Celcom network. Is it the rate same for data when domestic roaming? rclxms.gif

when i register mine, didnt pay any deposit. mnp from maxis.
of coz u can activate roaming but i believe u have to pay for that.
u can get all the info from their website.
*
so you need to pay for Int'l roaming on Umobile Postpaid ? the down-side of Umobile is, they dont have intl roaming for their prepaid user (Only Singapore is available for roaming but it doesn't count biggrin.gif)

6 months into my UMobile contract and I feel like terminating it already.

Reasons :

1) Limited 3G coverage (even in Shopping Malls)
2) Celcom's 2G is not working well. Using iPhone and 2G does not seems to work well together, while on Blackberry, it's working well.

Already send them an email regarding the contract termination. Probably gonna see how much I need to pay for Early Termination before i consider.

Guys, anyone have the same issue as mine? When user's from celcom number cannot call you.. either call failed or incomplete number.. this is getting annoying. Went to change my simcard at center today, but the problem still persist. Now waiting for them to investigate,, but dunno for how long.. huh

Kenot be-leh...I'm using the line for nearly 2 yrs now and thinking of getting the HTC-1X and extending 2 yrs contract. I never have problem with their 3.5G coverage, only time was in Camerons and I only managed 2G at Equatorial Hotel. I'm using Samsung Galaxy SL btw and got stolen last week, so miss my Android games cry.gif Hopefully when I get a new phone can continue back my games.. rclxms.gif

Maybe Iphone not ngam-leh? Maxis and Iphone kau-kau never down cos my wife using it and she also get better wi-fi coverage.

hi all

im using umobile prepaid. but sometimes i see my phone will go to roaming eventhough i had set my phone roaming settings to off.

i read somewhere that this is because umobile connectivity drop and it switches to celcom roaming. anyone can confirm? btw, im using umobile2g at that time. now i change the operator to umobile3g. so far no roaming sign yet icon_question.gif

i have MNP from Digi to Umobile U28 last week. The internet speed is so much better than Digi.

But i have 2 problems. Hope you guys can help me.

1. I am using Samsung Galaxy Ace and my phone sometimes drop to Umobile 2G (No data coverage, the phone shows R at the network bar). But I have to manually go to Settings -> Wireless and Networks -> Mobile Networks -> Select a Network Operator -> Choose UMobile then I can get back 3G coverage. Why is this happening? Is it my phone problem or Umobile problem?

2. In Maybank2U, I choose the TAC but I cannot receive the SMS.

Hope anyone can help.

thanks. whistling.gif

1. R is for roaming right ? i dont use android phone so i dont know much but when there is no coverage (3G Umobile) it will fall back to celcom 2G EDGE. Once you are back in area that have Umobile coverage, the phone should change back to 3G but sometimes it doesnt.

2. about the TAC, some ppl said u have to re-register again at the atm. when i MNP from maxis, my TAC is working fine.

I'm having the same problem. It only happens when you have a non-3G phone (some BlackBerry models) and when 3G is not available in the area you are at.

I read the Domestic Roaming page on their website but there is one thing I don't understand.

I have two U-Mobile prepaid lines. Both lines bought at different times. The one that suffers from this issue is the one I bought recently. The one I bought a few months back, works fine.

I'm using 3G but when there is no 3G in my area, it goes to 2G and that's when it becomes roaming. I have to set my phone to 'Enable data when roaming' to be able to use data.

My older simcard, when my area no 3G, it goes to Umobile2G but not roaming. Don't have to set the 'Enable data when roaming' option.
