QUOTE(deathscyther @ May 7 2012, 09:34 AM) ported to umobile u28 from hotlink on 8/4/12 went to times square to do mnp, it tooks only 3hour to complete the process. didnt manage to transfer credit to my old hotlink sim so far so good.. 3g is even faster than maxisBB @ serdang area. 2g speed also not bad. just that when my phone auto-switched to 2g, sometimes it stuck at 2g even when i already in 3g-covered area. questions: 1. data usage will reset on every 1st day of month or depends on billing date? a bit confused coz today the bill statement appears in my umobile online self-care account but the statement date shown is 1/5/12. 2. for bill payment via m2u, which 1 is the account no? BA000685xxxx or 1.1681xxxx? 1. data should be reset on every 1st of the month but im not very sure if they do that, need to reconfirm with them. 2. acc num is 1.1681xxxx

QUOTE(Frostlord @ Jun 5 2012, 10:00 AM) hi all im using umobile prepaid. but sometimes i see my phone will go to roaming eventhough i had set my phone roaming settings to off. i read somewhere that this is because umobile connectivity drop and it switches to celcom roaming. anyone can confirm? btw, im using umobile2g at that time. now i change the operator to umobile3g. so far no roaming sign yet u can read more here - http://www.u.com.my/faq/domestic-roaming

1. R is for roaming right ? i dont use android phone so i dont know much but when there is no coverage (3G Umobile) it will fall back to celcom 2G EDGE. Once you are back in area that have Umobile coverage, the phone should change back to 3G but sometimes it doesnt.
2. about the TAC, some ppl said u have to re-register again at the atm. when i MNP from maxis, my TAC is working fine.

QUOTE(@lvyzy @ Jul 1 2012, 10:15 AM) Good morning everyone I'm interested to switch my current Digi to U Mobile postpaid U28 plan. Could you help me to clarify the following FAQ? FQAs for New Postpaid Rate Plans (U28, U58 & U88)Q4. There is no chargeable activation fee for registering U28, U58 and U88 plans?Answer: There is a monthly commitment fee of RM28 (for U28), RM58 (for U58) and RM88 (for U88) per month which will be charged to offset usage charges for voice call, video call, SMS and MMS. Apart from the free 1GB data + 300 sms, can I say that I'll get another free 140 minutes voice call as well, since monthly commitment fee RM28 will offset the charges on this 140 minutes voice call? What u will get with U28 is 1GB data and 300 sms only. The rest will be Pay-As-U-Used. Use more, pay more than rm28.

the RM28 (U28) doesnt give you talk time, dont be mistaken. Ur paying rm28 for 1gb + 300 sms. call is pay as u use.

QUOTE(epsilon99 @ Jul 2 2012, 08:00 PM) Oh. If that is the case, then better take the prepaid http://www.u.com.my/prepaid/unlimited-mobile-internet. i wouldnt say its better to take prepaid, it depends on ur usage. prepaid - 500mb, 100min, 30 sms postpaid - 1gb, 300 sms in my case, i use the postpaid coz i need the data and sms, call doesnt matter much. QUOTE(bkcheah75 @ Jul 10 2012, 08:32 PM) Hi all, I am new user to u mobile and using postpaid U28. I want to ask for your experience. When you used up the 1GB quota limit of data, did they really cap your access speed? Or they never? they will capped, happened to me and my friend.
