Anyone know how long does it takes to convert an existing UM prepaid line to a UM POSPAID? Last time I mnp from maxis took me 1week. My number was completely unusable for the whole week. Really efficient service.

Basically Sungai Petani area covered with 3G so no need to worry biggrin.gif

For U28, there is no free calls like UMI28 but u will get 300 free sms (30 for UMI28). For me, I prefer UM28 as I get more quota. That's more important for me. icon_rolleyes.gif

I dont get it about the 6 sms get free 20 sms...

Is the promo is applicable to all anytime and forever or got time period only?

Coz if like that UMI28 really beats off U28 in term of sms coz my gf also gonna change too to umobile. So SMS macam tak kena duit la.. haha

In term of data 500mb might be sufficient enough for me coz wanna whatsapp/wechat only. Maybe do some browsing and facebook. I think shud be sufficient enuf...I dont like using postpaid coz im still a student and then I scared i use it overboard. Knowing that u might get heart attck at the end of the month if u use overboard do scares me. I dont wan every end of month kena heart attack. later die haha

generally, it's better to get prepaid compared to postpaid at the moment. umobile seemed to have a lot of issue with its customer service. some of it is like they'll bar your line eventhough u've paid and so.

and if both of you and your gf using data, then whatsapp is the way already dude. no more sms. lol

It is available for the same period as the free U-to-U calls, example top up RM30 you get 30 days of those free calls and 30 days of the 6 vs 20 sms offer.

Note that the free sms offer only applies for sms to U numbers, both the 6 sms and the 20 sms. Sms to other networks will be charged normally, unless you have free sms under UMI subscription.

theres only one thing playing my mind now, Let say I just MNP to UMobile from Maxis. I get all those freebies such as free calls and 15% extra credit and more. What if on the same time I subscribe to UMI28. Do i still have the free calls from 12am to 6.59pm and the free sms? or the current UMI28 counts into play? I will get deducted from there even though calling to /sms to umobile numbers?

P.s: i understand of the free calls and sms is only to umobile numbers smile.gif

Yes, the UMI freebies will deduct first, even you call or SMS to other U numbers.

Hey, just to check whether UMobile is using Celcom line? If it is, they should share similar coverage right? Then, what's the benefit of buying Celcom over Umobile? Celcom's web surfing faster?
