that whole file is an .iso file
just start ur Nero up, and select burn image to disc, and select the file that u have downloaded, and burn

Ok...i lied...it works fine SD15->SD1A ST3500320AS 500GB.

If i'm not wrong, before there was the funny clack clack sound when boot up (which i didn't heard previously until the case was opened). After the update, no more clack-clack sound. thumbup.gif

I still love Seagate.

Maybe i rush out tmrw and buy a bucket of these drives and flash em'....LOL.

do i need to flash if my drive comes with a factory shipped SD1A?is this SD1A here newer or the same as the 1 in my drive?

No you don't have to unless you got very itchy hands. tongue.gif

The firmware update is for those only with drive problems due to the previous firmware.


What annoyed me the most is that Seagate only acknowledged the problem and release a fix recently, since I got my "faulty" drive since early last year. doh.gif

from the seagate forum,it says that it revive the drive but not sure if data still in it..
