NOOOO!!!!! THE SD1A Bricked my drive!!!!!!
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. .. . . . Ok...i lied...it works fine SD15->SD1A ST3500320AS 500GB. If i'm not wrong, before there was the funny clack clack sound when boot up (which i didn't heard previously until the case was opened). After the update, no more clack-clack sound. I still love Seagate. Maybe i rush out tmrw and buy a bucket of these drives and flash em'....LOL. This post has been edited by Matrix: Jan 22 2009, 08:23 PM |

No you don't have to unless you got very itchy hands. The firmware update is for those only with drive problems due to the previous firmware. What annoyed me the most is that Seagate only acknowledged the problem and release a fix recently, since I got my "faulty" drive since early last year. |
