my seagate Barracuda 7.11 750GB HDD spoiled after 5month i use it.
it start making "tik tik" sound. restart pc..BIOS n Windows can't detect. run chkdsk..got bad sector rclxub.gif pelik betul.
sent to RMA, got it back after 2 weeks, now using it back.
the prob now is, when i restart my pc..BIOS will run chkdsk on my Seagate HDD. i also dunno why..

The second version works with 1TB drives but will brick 500GB drives. Probably no need to flash yours.

Better flash, since this latest firmware seems to have unbricked everyone's HDD at Seagate's forum. And report back your results, soldier. nod.gif

ZOMG mine is ST3500320AS with the AD15 firmware. shocking.gif

Failed me once, majority of my data got corrupted and have trouble reading the drive. RMA once now everything normal, so far but I fear it will act up again. Should I flash?
