maybe your connection to the internet?does it load?

Got this from one of the thousands of posts we've had about the 5800. Apologies as I don't remember the original poster.

I have also sent my Tube to Bangsar NCC. The salesperson gave me the worst case scenario saying that they will fix whatever they can and if they can't they will send it to Menara BGI to get it fixed.

He then made no promise they it will return before CNY if they do send it over. What's more they won't even inform me if they send it over so more or less now I am taken for a ride.

Somemore I am going to lose all my settings again. I just hope the restore function works. All the pain i went thru yesterday to get Garmin installed.......May have to do it again now.

I have sent it in at about 10:20 something just now. Still no news now.

Makes me wonder should I have saved all these hassle and relied on the DIY formula?

I think so far the cheapest I've seen is RM1250 for an authorized set sold by one of the forumer in Trade Zone.

ive faced tat problem before. i restart the phone n then evrything's fine.

u shudve send ur phone to any NCC tat LYN user sent before.
most of them said only need max 2hrs for the NCC to fix it.
i think berjaya plaza NCC is the best.

ya i understand that ... but i choose the american english voice and it come out no voice at all

Everything will look identical, look at the mp3/mp4 players they have, majority of them are imitation of Apple products.

Thats a really weird scenario. Because I just sent mine in to NCC 1U yesterday. No problems at all. Got it back in 2 hrs..... Anyways, did u just send it in for the earpiece problem or were there other issues with your tube?

If you go to enable GPS function in Google Maps it can track where we are.. a bit laggy i think.. and it consumes a lot of data (via gprs, wifi etc to load the maps) instead of Nokia Maps's preloaded map.

However I think it looks nicer, esp when u turn on the satellite view since it has satellite + an overlay of roads and road names and little arrow for traffic directions on the map.

It also come with text based navigation for free, meaning it will give you a text of where to turn to go where, but so far I cant see any voice assisted navigation there.. not bad lah for a freeware!

But driving from Cyberjaya to Puchong it loaded around 3MB of data, lucky I'm on unlimited data plan with my provider, or die lah to pay 1sen per kb!!

You'd want to open the Desktop version of Youtube... The mobile version doesn't work over here too...

I sent it only for the earpiece problem. It was written on the job sheet.

I only hope he is giving me worst case scenario. I hope they won't take too long as well.

I sent it to Bangsar because i work around there and its a hassle for me to go all the way to Berjaya Plaza.....Dang...I should have gone to 1U, go drink kopi shop a bit and my phone will be ready.

Anyway, what is the outcome is yet to be known. Will report back if unpleasant and ask fellow tube owners to avoid.

Maybe they copied it from a Vodafone set originally.. and they thought its a part of the design.. LoL
