you could probably do that for cafe's or small shops. a lot of places just put walk in interview. but big places like haya mentioned. its harder to find. "the boss" so cant really just walk in.

i would prefer working in smaller shops rather than those big boys...
smaller store offers more flexibility with working hours right?

Now economic crisis and difficult to find job.

You might face exploitation. Some bosses request you to try for work and without paying. Then, they will say you're not suitable for that work which without paying you. Good luck guy/girl.

I wish you can find a good employer.

Just register it through your school (participating schools), the student ID comes together with the Smartrider.

If not, you might have to download, fill up & submit the student Smartrider application form.

I'm not sure if your school separates them, but my school was like had them 2-in-1 (Student ID + SmartRider), so basically everyone has one.

Not yet, I haven't got my eCOE yet. Hopefully, i can get it in few days time.

Btw, what college r u refering to? I dont have any idea.

I am also facing the accommodation woes right now. At this stage, it is a bit too late to apply to stay at the student apartments in the UNI and also the Malaysian Hall. I have booked both of them, but i juz add up to the long miserable waiting lists. At meantime, icon_rolleyes.gif  I m still searching....

I had get the COE yesterday. I still facing the similar problems like u.
Now I trying to New College, Shalom etc.

You want part time job the best is Chinese Restaurants if you don't have any experience. Everything else they want experience. Chinese Restaurants will underpay you, but they pay cash so no tax, and that means you can work more than 20hours a week too(if you're international student). Don't neglect your studies though, restaurant work's very tiring you won't have energy left to study if you work too much.

If you want to buy wind breaker or sweater try all sort of factory outlet store, they are cheap though. I bought myself a winter sweater in Bandung factory outlet, it's dirt cheap. cost only RM150 for Esprit which is going to cost easily RM400-600 a piece at Esprit store... So check it out..
