Hmm ... because i have been sending a lot of email to many agents ( mostly www.s-h-a.com.au, 5-7 choices ) and most of the units which i preferred ( near to RMIT ) has been fully booked, according to them. But they suggest me a number of places but i dun really like cause its quite far and no shops nearby ( use google map and find ).

Therefore, im quite worried now if i were to fly on Melbourne on the 10th ( 18th Commencement date ), most of the nice places will be fully booked. And also i thought UniLodge is quite reputable, anyone living in UniLodge on Campus? Maybe can give some thoughts about that place.

Im actually prepared for the photos that doesnt match up with reality, i dun wan sleep at kaki lima cry.gif Let's say if i dun confirm a place to stay, how long or how many nights do u think i should book a hotel to stay and search? Well, this is my alternative solution ...

Scan is free in my university. Printing is 8 or 9 cent per page or double side 7 or 8 cent.

No one will catch you as long as you don't sell photocopy books to others

blink.gif Icic. Cause in Taylor's now, i bring photocopied notes to class get scold by lecturer, consider illegal unsure.gif

I scare in RMIT if i photocopied a few pages from reference book will get scold also unsure.gif Especially tutorial time, i really need them.

blink.gif icic, thx for all the replies.

If you need the entire book, and the book is rather thick, I suggest buying secondhand. They aren't very expensive. Might be cheaper than photocopying.

But if you need a few pages then please photocopy. It is not illegal as long as it's not for commercial purposes or for profit.

EDIT: Come to think of it, if you need only some parts of the book, then just borrow it off the library. Make use of the library. You've paid for it.
*
oh yea, forgot about second hand books. Hopefully there are seniors selling around some reference book smile.gif .

I dun like using the library cause everytime due need to go back and return the book whistling.gif

I'm quite worried if i couldnt find a job in aus after graduating there because i want to get back the cost of studying over there and live there for the rest of my life. If come back to malaysia to work, I afraid that it may take years to get back the cost and i will earn peanuts.

Can anyone advise me about this? thank you.
*
I got the same thinking like you brows.gif Wish gud luck for the both of us ... btw r u graduating this year?

QUOTE(panda-man @ Feb 1 2009, 02:31 PM)
every year your university will have job seminars. and a bunch of employers are there. so you bring your resume and have interviews and all that at these conventions. some companies will secure you a place in their company. so once you graduate you can join them straight away.

Added on February 1, 2009, 2:32 pmyou can usually only get these placements at the last year of your study.
*
hope got some companies come lor, i really hope to get a job even though its not a very "branded" company. As long as its related to my degree field and i get sufficient pay for my living cost im happy already laugh.gif

If they ask, "why are you interested to work in Australia rather than you own country" how should i answer ar? hmm.gif Money? lulz ...

gonna fly to melbourne next monday

wanna ask,can i bring medicine such as fever, flu, pimples to melbourne?
*
actually u can bring anything but very mafan if want to pass through custom. On the plane before landing they'll give u one card to fill in to declare anything u are bringing in.

I brought only cloths and electronics stuff and i get to the express lane without them operating my whole baggage from surface to feet. I guess only me or a few laugh.gif Cause i see most ppl bring a lot of food stuff like maggi mee, and the custom ppl open the whole luggage to check everything one by one ohmy.gif

And careful, u can't hide anything cause got some cute beagles tagging along at the baggage claim section laugh.gif If u're unlucky u get to see some fierce dog unsure.gif

Anyway i just reached Melbourne todae laugh.gif Compare to Adelaide is so much more congested, city filled with young peoples. The Australian ppl ( guai lo or asians born here ) are so frenly are nice, but the chinese ( im chinese ) .... unsure.gif not so haha laugh.gif

Now im not sure whether to get a prepaid or subscribe a package for my phone unsure.gif
