As long as the chain doesn't slip, it's still OK. When it slips, it either the crank or the chain.

Bicycle accessories are quite pricy sometimes.
Btw, mbax, can u share with us here, how do u buy from taobao? Do go through agent or buy directly?
Any problem with shipping and custom clearance?
I might be interested to buy something from taobao soon. Thanks.

When I was a young kid, I thought of the bike as my personal horse that allowed me to go wherever I wanted to go, I rode the bike like it was a horse as it had two wheels and a saddle .... those were pleasant childhood times...

For now, I think of the bike as a personal transportation tool, although it is much slower than motorised vehicles, I appreciate it the most when this lowly bike is faster than the mega powerful BMW in a rush hour morning traffic jam going to KL, especially on Jalan Bangsar... Being a car driver, you will be stuck in an hour long jam, while I just pedal and reach my destination earlier.

As such, any accessories that we can get for the bike is to enhance the safety and performance aspects and to help the rider stay more comfortable on the saddle. So I just make sure the three contact points are the most comfortable between rider and the bike: saddle, handlebars and the pedals.

Things that help to protect us, help us to stay alive on our busy roads are of high value. As such, I do not stinge on spending money when these are the objectives. After all, if you had bad lights, who can see you in the dark? Furthermore, good accessories are not cheap, helmets, lights, mirrors, brakes, tyres, saddle, racks...

For comfort, one more thing I really like, is the colorful, anti-odor, anti-bacterial sports t shirts from Uniqlo. I try to wear a white or light colored shirt at night so others can see me easily.

IS this brake? Somehow I feel my original Tekro V brake are rather mushy. Any better brake to fit in?
Preferable budget about RM100.

This is the Jetstream! shocking.gif What did you do with it? How did it happened and how old is the frame? If it is less than 3 years old, I think you can claim for a new frame.

Did you use this in off road biking just like a mountain bike?
Its not designed for such rough terrain..
