base on ur guys experience, 10-40w, 15-50w, 5-40w, which one will be more suitable for the campro engine?

i heard that either 5-40w or 10-40w is the best for campro, but 15-50w is heavy and the the FC is bad for campro engine.

is that true?

well..from my view...the first 3 service at PESC..i had used 20w50...well..after 3rd service, i started to use 10w40 and recently 5w40....i can say 10w/5w40 oil is allright...the car is lighter to move from traffic light and the revving is lighter....not to mention the engine sounded smoother...option is urs... tongue.gif

i tried 5-40 10-40 15-50 20-50 b4.but i felt 10-40 is ok with campro.5-40 normaly is fully synthetic sure will very expansive.10-40 semi synthetic is ok.

Yesterday, bought Bendix titanium stripe General CT(1 for my Persona, another set for Waja)...Before i have replaced the oem bosch pad with FeRoDo, not really satisfied with it..see post below

mileage/usage: 0-10k km (6months)
product: Bosch brake pad..proton genuine oem pad

mileage/usage:10-20k km(8months)
product: FeRoDo Zero
comments:
- exhibit some noise, screeching noise ...
- it tends to get overheat, during downhill braking(Genting, balik pulau or spirit driving). Metal burning smells..YEAKKSS..It does not like high temperature as advertised, real disappointed. shakehead.gif
- not really peform during cold, it is slightly better under hard braking
- the worst is the edge tear off piece by piece, wink.gif still can use sand paper to flatten the surface but.. doh.gif doh.gif wink.gif refer pic below(d) decided to throw this away...i

a) FeRoDo Zero and BenDix Titanium stripe..
user posted image

b) A fresh brake pad should have 0.9-1cm thickness.
user posted image

c) FeRoDo Zero, still have 65% thickness, equivalent to ~6cm after doing 10k km...

ignatiuslu.. really not loud after those new mods u did??

n really the pickup is much much better??

very intriguing indeed.. been searching for ways 2 improve campro pickup, guess urs is the best ive heard so far..

if the extractor alone, would give the same result or need the muffler as well??

do u think it'll work on auto persona too??

really not loud.u can use ur original muffler 1st if want.but i'm sure u cant get 100% power from ur new extractor if do so as the oem muffler block quit a lot gas out.but u do can try change extractor 1st but maintain the oem muffler.i'm sure u got improvement by using oem muffler oso.if use oem muffler sure they like oem muffler sound only.but if wan change muffler make sure its Jasma approve n not make in local.those local i'm sure u will regret of it noisy sound.this is wat my mechanic told me.now my car engine more smooth compare to b4.engine sound more quite now.

the improvement...ya quit alot.i can simply "buang" my fren vios in traffic light now.for normal driving i normally change gear at 4k rpm but now 3rpm i can change edi.u can feel the improvement from 2k rpm-5k rpm respond after change.

Persona SE which colour look nicer? Blue Haze or Brilliant Red? Never saw red colour on the road yet.

Persona SE year 2009 now have any discount? How much?
*
I prefer the blue haze. I dont think they have any discount for 2009 model. Even 2009 model is not yet in the market isnt it?

so long didnt posting here, I am very satisfield with my Persona

the only one thing i hope it could improve is, the steering angle. Do you guys realize that Proton car can not make U turn with small angle?

Everytime I am make U turn almost need to prepare more space to turn it, else will need to turn it 2 times sweat.gif

I think the Persona car has the plugs necessary to install the captor tracking device

if you sayang your car then check captor

my fiends got cars with captor, and the one friend who had captor and his car stolen (harrier) captor helped to recover back

hmmm.. quite tempting when i read the site hmm.gif seems like many gen2 got stolen before. I wonder how is persona...

haha...yea...but i see BLM rear space is better than persona....persona rear space aint that good due to the large boot... sweat.gif ...some of my friend that is big size having problem sitting in the rear...their legs hit the front seat/feel uncomfortable..

Haha yup, BLM rear legroom space and Latio are the biggest so far i have seen

hey guys i just did 10000 km service at the ss13 SC.

they put in 10w-40 oil engine oil for me...previously i did my services at mutiara damansara SC and they used 20w/50. Is this normal?

and also, they put in semi synthetic oil for me this time and they asked me to come back 5000 km later...abit rip off right?

luckily i saw the service booklet and it says to come back 10000 km later..

what is your opinion on this? besides that, i asked them to check my reverse sensors which were going cuckoo but it doesnt seem like they did anything....

quite dissappointed...but they did give free car wash though...which was a plus point...and their service was faster compared to the Mutiara Damansara one.

yea..its normal....in fact using 10w40 engine oil is lighter than 20w50..so u can expect lighter pedal feel and slightly lower in fuel consumption....10w40 is ideal for the engine because the engine oil is lighter, thus resulting better pickup..

standard oil change is every 5000km....but u can extend it to 6000km if u 1......unless u use fully synthetic where u can stretch up to 10000km but u can change early if u stuck in jam or frequent revving...

reverse sensors??..is it the beep sounded soft?...if it is...then is normal...
