Is there a way to interface the steering mounted controls to aftermarket HUs?

hey guys i just did 10000 km service at the ss13 SC.

they put in 10w-40 oil engine oil for me...previously i did my services at mutiara damansara SC and they used 20w/50. Is this normal?

and also, they put in semi synthetic oil for me this time and they asked me to come back 5000 km later...abit rip off right?

luckily i saw the service booklet and it says to come back 10000 km later..

what is your opinion on this? besides that, i asked them to check my reverse sensors which were going cuckoo but it doesnt seem like they did anything....

quite dissappointed...but they did give free car wash though...which was a plus point...and their service was faster compared to the Mutiara Damansara one.

reverse sensors??..is it the beep sounded soft?...if it is...then is normal...
*
No it's not the soft issue....it's sometimes my sensors beep at irregular rhythm so i cannot gauge how far away the obstacle is.
the problem just started to occur recently only.

any ideas what's wrong?

Hey guys,

Recently my 9 month old persona started having problems...the engine light now comes on when i start the car up...the car has no power whatsoever...i need to step real hard to get the car going...and idling speed is 500 rpm...car can mati also when ilding...

I have sent my car to SC for checkup but they said no major problems, just a faulty sensor or smth...

but after i collected my car and drove it home...for the first 10 km everything was back to normal...but suddenly the problem came back..
my car loss its power and the vibration was real harsh...and of course the engine light came back on.

Now my car is back in the SC...but i would like to ask the sifus here what may be the problem ah? last time my friend had a problem like this also and apparently it was due to a faulty fuel pump...anyone can explain?

hey the SC couldn't solve my problem...the technician said that its ECU problem and asked me to go to Glenmarie or COE to fix. Now i have booked an appointment with Mutiara Damansara SC but the problem is my car can't start now... there is a sound when i turn the ignition but my car won't ignite...What should i do now guys?

Do SCs provide towing services? Can i call the SC tmrw and tell them to come and tow my car?

tow ur car to the main SC..like center of excellent or glenmarie as what u mentioned...i guess i could be battery connector or maybe fuel pump...
*
i'll be towing my car today most probably...but the ss13 SC said its not fuel pump problem but an ECU problem...haihz i also dunno wei, now trying to get the motor insurance company to give me a free tow. Seriously damn susah, my car has been out of action for 2 weeks already sigh...Any other persona owners facing such a critical problem?

sori to hear tht bro onlyforthecars, its a rarely case such as urs...

in the manual book, its stated recommended engine oil is 20w-50, but if u think logically, tht grade is mainly for old cars, whr the oil is thicker...

when the oil is thicker, ur car pickup will b  slightly decreased, even most otai campro also said 10w-40 is the best one for our campro..

if ur engine is new, its not a prob to use 10w-40...
*
HaHA thanks bro Ultima... I did so much research before i bought the car, i followed this thread for about 3-4 months prior to purchasing the car and also other forums. I seriously thought it would have been a good car hahah.....Oh well...btw when u are free can you add me to the list....my ride's a Irridescent White H-Line Auto year 2008.

Added on February 11, 2009, 8:56 pmMy car is back!!!

2.30 pm sent to Mutiara Damansara SC and at 5 o clock they already called back...apparently the ss13 who did my 10k km service did not install the spark plugs properly when they replaced them. Not only that, my car was sent in and out twice to that place but they still could not solve the problem. whereas Mutiara DAmansara, 2.5 hrs everything settle....

SIENSSSS....moral of story: Boycott ss13 SC wei...waste time only...
let this be a lesson learnt to all...CHEERS!

wah... that was a really bad workmanship case already  doh.gif Oh ya, do u always watch your car whenever the service take place? or u just send and go back home sleep?

well..best if stand beside everytime they service ur car....coz if u stand beside them, they will be more cautious coz the owner watching mah..dun dare to play play....and also u can learn how they replace and service the car which u can diy next time..xD..

*
Yeah super serious case of bad workmanship...usually when i put in my car, they will ask me to come back in 3-4 hours. And sometimes when i hang around in the workshop, they will ask me to wait in the lobby. So i always put my car then and go for a drink or something lor...by the way the lousy SC is a dealer, not a branch...So the lesson i learnt is to never go to dealers...Any of you go to dealers for service?

boycott can boycott~
u also must ask ss13 for compensation at 14days no car 2 use~
go for it~  flex.gif

Can ah? i actually feel like calling them up and telling them off...but dunno whether got any good outcome or not

hey bros, my persona now hitting 19,000++ km and my last service was the 10,000 km service that i did at 13,000 km. i should be going for the next service right? i was wondering whether the SC will consider it a 20,000 km service or 15,000 km one? i'm not sure about the service intervals after 10,000 km. is it 5,000 or 7,500?

15000km is normal service..since u has reached 20000km...so better do major service where u need to change

sparkplugs (if u had changed earlier then nvm)
atf fluid (if urs is automatic)
check brake fluid..
coolant

these are extra services u advise to do for 20000km....cause normally right after 3rd service, most of the SC will just see ur mileage.. laugh.gif

for 5000km or 7500km it depends on what engine oil are u using..if semi synthetic then change around 5000km-6000km.....if its fully synthetic then 9000km-10000km...

Thanks bro,

i have changed my sparkplugs during the 10,000 km service. so no need to change right? btw besides ATF, should i also change my brake pads? i just need to get a rough idea of what i should be changing from you guys because i'm afraid that the SC might just simply ask me to change this and that unnecessarily. can those bros who have done their 20,000 km service please post what was replaced and how much were the total charges?
