Came across this AKPK thing on line and didn't notice I can find information here. I am now in serious shyt.. Let me list down the $$ I owe. I am a Singapore PR by the way and I work in Singapore. I have tons of debt in SG and MY. now cracking my head to see if there is a solution to it.

Total debt in SG.

1. Citibank.. took a 11k loan with my ready credit and CC. Monthly repayment $400 for 3 years. (now is around 7-8 months down the road)
2. ANZ bank took another 11k loan with Money line and CC. Monthly repayment $400 for 3 years. same period around Citibank.
3. UOB around $10k. dunno accumulate interest until how much already. did made some repayment. 1 month need around $300 minimum payment.
4. Maybank, swiped my card for $5k. Didn't pay since Febuary. took $50 cheque last time to get their free gift from their easy cash service. They sent me lawyer letter to sue me together with CC debt. total owe them around $6k.
5. around 5k with HSBC. CC debt. minimum payment around $200.
6. DBS bank, have CC debt around $8k. Minimum around $300.

Total Need to pay in SGD per month = $2.3k

Malaysia side

1. Housing loan RM680+ per month. (25 years)
2. Car loan RM1466 per month. (5 years)
3. Owe RHB bank around RM6k CC debt
4. Owe SCB personal loan for RM14k, 3 years monthly RM600.
5. UOC CC around 18k debt. minimum around RM900 per month.

Total need to pay in RM monthly = RM4k

With this amount. I really cannot fork out to repay at all. So I end up doing selective payment (this month pay 1,3,5 in SG side and 2,4 in MY side) and the next month paying the others. My pay in SG only around 2.9k carry home. confirm not enough to cover at all. Now I am considering doing this AKPK or doing the same in SG to recover in the next 5-6 years. in SG, we get 13th month salary, so on the 13th month. I will be a bit more comfortable in paying back those things that I owe previously. I wonder if AKPK will accept cases from people that work in SG and stay in JB like me. Or you guys think I should only do it in SG to lower that to as low as possible and pay those in Msia without leaving those bad record in Msia.

Just declare bankrupt, simple as that. When borrow that time never think how you going to repay it?

lester,

i don't think akpk can help in your case.

what are those cc credit limit for 3,4&5(Msia)? can do BT(36mth) to any1? sell the car, free up the HP rm1466/mth to repay this BT(36mth). stll bal <500 to cover small utilities here

tak makan pun, u are left with Sgd1.7 to cover sg debt. thats 51k/1.7k=30mths. can your wifey cover both my&sg monthly expenses for 30mths?? no choice la, gotta tighten both belts. ur wifey also drawing sgd??

Thats some serious deep hole you've dug there, try to sell off the assets and repay the debts and start off new again, with the interest rates keep compounding, you'll end up in very deep trouble.

Good luck bro, you need lots of it

Lets say you have 2 personal loan & 2 CC debts on hand, is it possible for you to seek for AKPK's help on just restructuring the 2 CC debts ONLY?

If just for the sake of avoiding that 18% of interest, then you can get AKPK in your dreams whistling.gif
Better borrow money from relatives and offer them some interest(like 4-5%).

Hi, I had applied the DMP at 12 May 2015, and the first payment had been made by following day (13 May 2015). After 7-10 days later I had called them twice to follow up my application status and they said it had been approved.

But now I still haven received any offer letter that's proved I am in the DMP program, and some banks still call/sms me to pay the depts.

What should i do now? Can I start pay the second installment of DMP to AKPK on next month? Can I ignore those sms and calls from the banks?

Another thing that made me worry is I got try to log-in again on the Online DMP Application, it keep show "Combination of Online DMP + NRIC invalid!" after I had keyin my ID and Online DMP Number. Will this means i am not in the DMP programs?

I am very stress now...because i already can't afford to pay the banks' depts with minimum, and the AKPK is my only hope to keep living.

Any opinion and suggestion will be very appreciate, thank you.

Hi, not sure should I ask in this thread or not. If not please kindly advise.
This is my issue:-

Now my dad is having a credit card debt with bank. But currently he's unable to do the repayment due to he got stroke in last Dec. I've just received a call from something call jabatan kewangan saying that they want to lelong the house currently I'm staying because back in the pass my dad was using this address to register all his loan and credit card. The house is not under his name. So,I would like to know do they have the rights to do this? And I would like to ask do they have the right to ask us help my dad to do the repayment?

To make things simple I just assume the fellow who called you is the rightful creditor. If your father doesn't have ownership to this house that you stay and you (and other owners) of this house do not give any guarantee to your father's debt, then the creditor has no right to foreclose your house.

Thanks for your info. But how if previously when my dad is applying for the loan or credit card he has the ownership of the house? Now he doesn't.
The fellow who call me was saying that she's doing the filling for my dad case to be submitted to the court.
She has given me the contact number to contact with. But I would like to collect some info before I call the in-charge person. blush.gif

Unless the property is charged to the financier, it is not an issue whether at that time your dad owns the property or not. Your property is not charged to the financier as collateral, right?

hmm.gif I think so too...because if he had used the house as collateral...he would not be able to change ownership of the house...
try to get a lot of info as to what you and your family member is liable to your father debts....
some debt collectors would just simply use scare tactic and prey on the none informative family members to pay up.
some would even say that they can ask the EPF to stop payment too....
