but after i set everything up....n power on
my monitor only show power saving mode.....
my system is running but monitor flash a while n den it only show power saving mode....is it the bios problem? how can i solve it since it's my 1st time buying amd processor.....

means "no signal detected" or what?
any beep sound?.. do provide more info.. easier to go to shop if u have no idea what is happening.

The only reason i can think on why they sticked those tapes is because they want to make sure that it is properly grounded...
It is just for safety purpose, but not compulsary for everyone...

guys, i'm havin a prob with my sapphire hd4830. sometimes, randomly, the gc will crash, and my lcd will say no signal detected. and whenever it crashes, the gc fan will spin at max speed, and there's a light coming from an led on the backplate of the gc (it's labelled "over temp protect"). the led usually just blinks once or twice during startup, but during crashes, it will be switched on constantly. can u guys help me out? and it's not becos of overload or anything, cos it happens even when i'm just surfing the net. gc temps and load are normal. thanks!

r u using latest driver from ati?? u may use GPU-Z to monitoring ur GC for awhile.. look for strange behavior..

yup, latest driver... could it be due to my power supply? i've changed my psu recently, from coolermaster extreme 460w to vantec ion2 400w. the prob never happened when i was using cm 460w before... hmm, i'll try gpuz. thanks!

yeah, i thought so too... and that's what i told the shop owner.. but he said that this psu wont have any prob with my hd4830 since he's using it himself on an i5 platform... and another weird thing is, it only occured in the past few days, although i've changed the psu for more than 2 weeks...

if you got spare psu then u can test.. if no poblem then psu poblem..

use gpu-z for now.. need monitoring 1st..

i dont think my pc is using that much power... or could it be that the power supply at my house is a bit unstable? cos this never happened in my college...
