yes 55nm...
not sure weather the box is written down or not..
but if you REALLY want to determine it, you can download software to identify it.. such as Everest Edition notworthy.gif

btw, wanna ask.. is it a MUST to stick some tape on the mobo tray screw holes before putting in the mobo??
previously the shop help me stick some tape on it.. now, after spraying the case.. forget to stick it back.. doh.gif
*
The only reason i can think on why they sticked those tapes is because they want to make sure that it is properly grounded...
It is just for safety purpose, but not compulsary for everyone... laugh.gif

QUOTE(GeneralX @ Sep 22 2009, 11:21 PM)
To be exact, only for LGA1366. Core i7 for LGA1156 exists, but limited to dual channel.

Thanks alot GeneralX... notworthy.gif

if they stick some tape on the iron<or any other elec conducting material> it used to prevent short circuit..
Thanks for clarifying rclxms.gif
I was the one who made the mistake... I has some confusion blink.gif

Make sure all the screws were screwed - ( to make sure that it is properly grounded )
Tape - ( to prevent short circuit )

Hello guys...
I got a very noob question for noobs like me lolx...

1. DVI socket and VGA socket is different?

2. The thing from graphic card to monitor, it is both VGA-VGA right?

3. What if monitor only got HDMI, how to connect graphic card VGA to monitor HDMI? Does this one-time cable available?

Thanks in advance !

QUOTE(GeneralX @ Oct 19 2009, 05:51 PM)
1) DVI = digital signal, VGA = analog signal

2) Depends on the available input(s).

3) Possible with a VGA-HDMI converter, but could be pricey.

Thanks a lot GeneralX biggrin.gif

QUOTE(ArianneG @ Oct 19 2009, 06:04 PM)
What he said. Nowadays most comp screens usually come with HDMI though, and quite a few still support VGA. Check for the connector type. Sure no VGA hiding around? Also, using desktop or laptop (just curious, as my laptop got no HDMI, only VGA)?
*
Hmmm you understands me... laugh.gif
Aiming for Angelo from AOC..
AOC 2434PW only got Analog RGB and HDMI...So i have to find a VGA - HDMI cable right?...

QUOTE(Onion-KiD @ Oct 19 2009, 06:49 PM)
1) Yes socket is difference. DVI is white. VGA is blue. Their pin also difference.
2) I believe start from 3 years old graphic card will pair 1 VGA and 1 DVI together. Latest graphic card most only came with DVI, few have HDMI or display port. But they will provide DVI to VGA converter.
3) PC LCD monitor or LCD TV ?
Suppose almost all lcd monitor have VGA port. Most with DVI, quite a few with HDMI.
Laptop no idea.
*
Erm, PC LCD monitor, to be precise, its ACO 2434PW which only got Analog RGB and HDMI....

QUOTE(danny_sp15 @ Oct 19 2009, 07:37 PM)
there are various adapters available, usually come with ur graphic card. if not, u can try to buy in garage sales... however, the common adapters i've seen so far is dvi-to-vga, and hdmi-to-dvi. never seen hdmi-to-vga adapter... sweat.gif but most graphic cards today have dvi or hdmi output, so u dont have to worry too much... what is ur graphic card anyway?
*
Erm, Palit GTX275 thumbup.gif

unless it's the new version with hdmi, vga, and dvi output, which means u wont have any problem in the first place tongue.gif

and ur AOC 2434PW input is like this right?
user posted image

so u'll need a dvi-to-vga adapter (if u only have vga cable) or a dvi-to-hdmi adapter (if u have hdmi cable).
people are selling the adapters in garage sales from as low as rm5 to the high quality ones around rm30-40... or u can buy a HDMI-DVI cable, but pretty expensive la... about rm100+...
*
1. Newer version comes with hdmi?

AOC 2434PW claims that a hdmi cable is bundle together...But not sure how the hdmi cable looks like...
But i assume it is like this:

QUOTE(andx517 @ Oct 19 2009, 09:27 PM)
hmm, to solve the problem, you need a DVI to HDMI converter(some GC do provide the converter), then use HDMI cable to monitor..
*
since graphic card is DVI...
Monitor is HDMI...
If i have a DVI to HDMI cable, then its good to go right?

graphic card - dvi ------dvi cable-----cable hdmi----- hdmi - monitor ? laugh.gif

@jason18689,
yup, that's exactly how hdmi cable looks like. u can see on the pic that "hdmi" is embossed on the plugs. biggrin.gif
so if u have the hdmi cable, and ur gc output n lcd input looks like the above, then the solution would be>> LCD----HDMI CABLE----DVI-to-HDMI-adapter----GRAPHIC CARD. the dvi-hdmi adapter should be included with ur graphic card during purchase. try lookin for it in the box.

Thank you alot bro rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

*
Hmmph, thanks for the recommendation anyway..
I just got to know that an hdmi/dvi adapter will be given when i purchase the graphic card... (For more info, its a Gigabyte gc biggrin.gif)

Btw, about the dvi-hdmi cable, where you bought and what brand is that? laugh.gif
