QUOTE(wen9x88 @ Sep 22 2009, 12:11 AM) oic, that mean if i upgrade mobo to AM3 and proc phenom 955. i still can use my ddr2 ram ? then my ram will bottleneck performance ? your old question is not clear enough AM3 mobo run only DDR3, can accept AM3 processor only. AM2(+) mobo run only DDR2, can accept both AM2 & AM3 processor. |

I have a relatively stupid question.
Ever since the days of the 1st batch of P4's, I have lost touch of what slot type of processors. I have a AMD Sempron at home and is looking to upgrade the processor but have no idea what type of slot it uses. Whats the correct way to identify it if I no longer have the mobo manual? |

Quick Question:
If a motherboard supports a DDR3 memory ram... Which one to choose? Triple Channel Kit? Dual Channel Kit? What are the differences? |

@Racerx, hi, u said in another forum that an E5200 at 3.2GHz is comparable to a stock E8400. For real? cos if it's real, then i might just save rm100 and get an e5200 instead of a phenom 550 (which is even slower than e8400).. thanks!
