It was reported in NTV7 news just now that US interest rates have been lowered to 0% and interest rates in Asia and Malaysia may also be lowered accordingly (if I hear it correctly). Maybe we can get really low interest car loan rates in January next year. 2% perhaps or maybe 1.88%? I will book the new City possibly in April next year.

hahaha then the countdown already started? ya, i have the same feeling too, 84k and 89k base price w/o OTR. hopefully honda malaysia makes it reasonable.

wow is that true for low interest? then maybe i should borrow money from my parents first and pay them back later....hmmm....damn this city is driving me nuts haha.

If that is truly the price, then alot of us here will be very happy. But let's see what it is in 11 hrs time. Make sure somebody post the official price as soon as they know it (I'll be off for a conference in the morning, can't check LYN  sad.gif ). Hope to get some good news when I get back after lunch..hehe!

Yeah, let's keep our fingers crossed and hope Honda Malaysia price the new City at an affordable price. If the price is too high, some potential buyers may go for dugong. Come to think of it, although Nissan Latio was launched in August last year, I hardly see them on the road. Shows that it is not popular. This new City is also driving me nuts too. Ha ha. tongue.gif

Countdown to the official launching of new City has already started. Be sure to read Paul Tan's posting. Hopefully he will be able to post it online tomorrow night with photos of the car and the sexy chicks at the official launching.

Maybe the price is RM84,800 OTR for S spec and RM 89,800 OTR for E spec. What do you think, guys? SA told me the official price will be released by 11 a.m. tomorrow morning.

Added on December 18, 2008, 12:02 amIt's 12 a.m. 18th December 2008 now. New Honda City will be launched in a few hours time. The most anticipated car launch of 2008. Hooray for Honda!

That's what i heard also earlier from SA but it is OTR price without insurance, he also cannot confirmed, he talk a bit and dont want to give a bit more details, i hate him!

My SA told me the price is OTR with insurance. He is very sure about it. Even his manager told me the same thing. So it may be either RM84,800 or RM85,800 OTR for S spec and maybe RM89,800 OTR for E spec. I am just speculating.

Why can't we just fast-forward to the launch. The suspense is killing me. As soon as the price guide is out (and if within budget), I'm gonna call my SA straight away to switch to E-Spec

wow, modulo kit is really nice... but i think those choosing modulo pls go for S spec. taking modulo with E spec is quite a waste unless u have plenty of extra money to spend with. if E spec with modulo easily cost RM 95k+, better go for civic 1.8
