Yep, congrats to all those who have booked the new Honda City. I am going to book in April next year. Going for Alabaster Silver Metallic. My 2005 City i-DSI is New Vogue Silver Metallic. Going to trade in my 2000 Iswara 1.3 sedan next year and get the new City. Then I will have 2 Honda City park side by side under the porch of my house - 1 2nd gen City and 1 3rd gen City, both silver colour. How does that sound? Honda The Power Of Dreams. My wife drives 2nd gen City and next year I will drive 3rd gen City. 

Yeah, I suppose so. Better still, organise a visit to Honda factory in Pegoh,  Melaka to see how our Honda cars are assembled. Actually, new City is placed a step higher now, getting closer to Civic, no more entry level Honda car. From the new City brochure, this car has it all - 4 disc brakes, 4 reverse sensors, dual airbags, ABS, EBD, BA, GOA and ACE body, front pretensioner seat belts with double load limiters. The list goes on and on. Even has Shift Hold Control which is found in the Accord. Hey, it's a mini Accord! So many high tech features which can only be found in more expensive and luxurious cars and the price is only RM86K++ for S spec. Think it's reasonably priced.

hahaha...my family is honda's fan club. already have 4th generation honda city (black), and civic 1.8 (silver). after this 3 honda cars with similar plate number in front of the car porch.

It not likely going to be more comfortable than the Sylphy or the Altis, that much is certain and I have much doubts it will have better soundproofing even. On the equipment level, it edges very close to C-segment cars, I give it that and on paper, it has the most powerful engine in its class but that doesn't mean you're going to smoke Vios or Latios and leave them in the dust anytime soon. Sylphy and Altis aside, you're also forgetting the new City came out 2 years after the Vios(Belta) and 3 years after the Latio - if it isn't better, then something is very wrong with Honda.

92k for a high spec entry level car is quite expensive and for 2k more - a bigger and better equipped Elantra is just around the corner and let's not forget about the SX4 Sedan. The economic backlash hasn't quite hit Malaysia yet, but it's expected to sometime next year - during then, we'll know if Honda's high pricing strategy is working out for them.

I'm not recommending anything. I'm just stating out what's already known - If the high spec City edges at 93k, that's the same price as the Hyundai Elantra which is a bigger and better equipped car. Even the Suzuki SX4 Sedan is hovering around that price range and that's CBU Japan. While not quite in the same league, a nicely equipped Grand Livina is also around the 90+ price region.

I don't think is that fast? Even Honda Japan haven't release the new City.

hahaha then the countdown already started? ya, i have the same feeling too, 84k and 89k base price w/o OTR. hopefully honda malaysia makes it reasonable.

.. think I'm gonna switch to the E-Spec, tml going to the showroom again and to bring my current car in to see how much can trade in. Hopefully the waiting period isn't more than 3 months..hmm. Heard from my SA the popular colors are Black and PMM.

i think this is the current set up for Honda. Both Civic 1.8 or 2.0 also same.. there is a lock switch at the power window switch. Need to lock and unlock manually..
