seems like major are going for E spec wor....S spec and E spec is different for 5k. and the 5k is pay for :

1. Fog lamps
2. 16" rims
3. side mirror signal indicator
4. Exhaust pipe finisher
5. paddle shift
6. steering wheel audio control
7. leather steering wheel
8. leather gear knob
9. 6 speakers (S spec has 4 speakers)
10. adjustable rear headrest
11. rear armrest with cup holder
12. rear foldable 60:40 seats
13. rear reclining seats
14. rear seat under tray (what's this?)
15. power retractable door mirror

These are the 15 items that cost the 5k. hmm.... should i change to E spec too? I have made the ticking games on these 15 items and i found no 3 (side mirror signal indicator), no 6 (steering wheel audio control) and no 9 (6 speakers) I am more into using.
so what about u guys? come and have some tick-tick game biggrin.gif
*
seem like S spec is sufficient enough wor. the major benefit of E spec is juz 6 speakers, steering audio, 16' rim for me. other is juz not neccessary. not much diff. i rather choosing S spec with adding 5k for modulo instead of adding 5k for E spec.

wow, modulo kit is really nice... but i think those choosing modulo pls go for S spec. taking modulo with E spec is quite a waste unless u have plenty of extra money to spend with. if E spec with modulo easily cost RM 95k+, better go for civic 1.8

I get to test drive at 9:30am and of course i am the first one to get to test the awesome car. The SA was such a good guy because this morning he even call me up to inform me don't forget to come test drive. But in the end i ask my friend to book for me, sorry for the SA who work at the showroom near by my office. I'm going for E spec, modulo kit and v-cool.

To be honest, i rated this car 90% rather than 100%. Because the interior is way too normal, i expect more from HM.
*
went to showroom juz now, cant able to test drive as too many waiting test driver. erm... basically i would say big congrats to HM. really impressive this gen of city. the door closing is solid. seat and cushion is comfortable enough. the price is making alot of us happy either i guess. black color is really nice looking. but 1 thing i wonder is the modulo kit cost Rm 4.7k, but without the front grile like singapore or thailand has. modulo kit for malaysia only got the optimus prime grile. besides, the modulo RIM have to add few thousand to get. so if E spec + modulo kit + modulo RIM = RM 98k++ then plus v-kool = RM 100k. WOW!

btw, the modulo kit this time is really fit to the city. black, silver and polished metal are really great. deep lapis blue is gorgeous too.
after go to see the real honda city... i suddenly think that toyota vios is really too simple and low end compare to this fully loaded new machine. icon_rolleyes.gif

Added on December 18, 2008, 11:10 pmactually i expect more from honda regarding the interior, instead of the silver coating dashboard, i would rather prefer honda improve it. and the meter is too simple and normal with red color, i would rather prefer is white...

No comment on taht coz i havent test drove on the civic yet. But i know the FD has alot of potential. It uses rear doublewish bones suspension while the new city still uses torsion beam axel. The FD is a capable car as you can see in the honda civic type R, so a few upgrades on the FD and i should be satisfied tongue.gif
Now u can get the 2006 model for less than 90k. Expect next yr to drop more due to slow economy.

what are the improvement of the incoming facelift civic?

It is underpower.I have driven the old CITY VTEC,and it is so much more powerful compared to the latest CITY.

They are now using a SOHC engine which is why it is not so powerful.

No offence but i think u have been driving a car which is below 1.5cc,then u suddenly drive a 1.5 and u feel its powerful. But for me its nothing and actually underpower.

120bhp on paper means nothing when it cant deliver the results on real road situation.Honda nowadays are going for SOHC engines.Even the latest Accord 2.4 is so underpowered.
*
city is the most power in its class.
accord is the most power also in its class, even more power than camry and maza 6.
i think u usually drive lamborgini lar, so now u think all these car so 'underpowered'
city vtec only 110 bhp only ler, my house got 1 also. u cannot compare previous version with this latest version, the weight is totally different lar. now is 1160kg, previous version only 1k+ kg only. if u wan performance then get civic type-R lar pls

Did you plan to get any add-on for your new city? I am getting the Lighted Side Door Step, Alloy Pedal.
I wish the alloy pedal can be applied on my City VTEC 2004 also...
*
bro, pls tell us how much u get for the alloy pedal and the door step. SA told me Rm 700+ for adding the trunk spoiler. still considering...

For me...it just the same...i have drove both car...
*
for me is the almost the same too. for this type of car, not much concern in power lar... it's 1.5cc only. i believe this city can easily beat the vvti dugong anytime lar.
even myvi my fren told me quite power also 1.3cc. i drive accord 2.0 also power so so only. unless u really tekan the pedal then u will feel the speed but the engine sound disturbing.
