today i went for test drive again, but now at damansara Honda showroom.. today i 'lanyak' the city like it belongs to nobody.. and i can say my vios J is far more powerful. I'm not trying to be bias, since i also order the city, but seriously, the city pickup is so poor compared to vios... and that's with my vios with has full bodykit and 17" rim..

but no doubt, the only good thing about the city is the look. exterior and interior. exterior city is way better than vios. for the interior in terms of quality is the same, but City is more elegant and modern, while vios is classy and simple.

i've make a deal with my gf, once i get the city, she'll use my vios and i gonna use the city her CPS.. ermmm stay in garage laa..

and i cant see the advantage of technical specs.. 120ps vs 109ps.. the performance of engine is not just bcoz of ps.. or torque.. there's a lot of other things contribute to smoother and powerful drive. just look at last time amd 64 x2 vs pentium D .. low clockspeed vs high clockspeed.. but intel pentium D is much slower than the amd 64 x2..

and with vios J priced at 73k, u can buy a pioneer touch screen radio with mp3, usb, for around rm3k++ , ur own choice of rims for about rm3k.. total rm76k..

but tbh, with city at 84-89k, the only worthy vios to buy is the J spec

your Vios got how many km edi?
New cars usually still "tight" so it can't give out 100% of what it has.

Furthermore, you're comparing a loaded City with a "tin kosong" Vios. So, pick up of coz Vios gonna be better since weight matters.

haha.. i just got my vios last friday. 1 week already. and i just drove it for 256km, since i also have one 318i. the city i test drove just now the km more than 400km.

yes vios is tin kosong.. and city is fully loaded.. armoured car. so cant compare..

but wut the heck people comparing 73k priced car vs 84k car.

tak malu ke honda people try to lower down their level to much cheaper price car?

let's talk bout brand new city 84k vs bmw e46 318i year 2000 (around 80k) .. or vs 2006 ford focus 2.0 (also around 80k) ..

i order city bcoz i like its look. but it's not just me to condemn other car bcoz i think my car is the best ..

however 'DUGONG CAR' still has a dugong look. I wonder..why toyota always use animal as their icon. VIOS LOOKS LIKE DUGONG. ALTIS LOOKS LIKE CAT FISH. CAMRY LOOKS LIKE COW NOSE.

If I am not mistaken from what I read from the latest issue of Motor Trader it's also written there that Honda is planning to make 1.5k sets per month

Just came back from my Christmas trip to Singapore and the thread has spread more than 10 pages. Anyway since quite a few people did mention about the new city price in SG is expensive I think the only reason is Honda doesn't really care about the sales in SG.

What makes me say so is from what I observe in these 4 days in the ratio of 10 cars per model it'll be like 10 subaru, 9 lancer, 9 sonata, 8 lexus, 7 camry, 6 jazz, 5 vios, 5 wish, 5 estima, 4 civic, AMAZINGLY 3 LAMBO, 2 latest GTR, 1 accord, 1 city.

It seems like people in SG buy subaru like buying proton for us only while Toyota and Mitsubishi is their priority and yeah I only manage to see one Honda City and one Honda Accord in 4 days and yes I was out on the street all day long

i can enjoy both car. and maybe thats why i dont tend to kutuk any of the car. i praise where i shud need, and condemn when i need too..

well if only i have only city, i will praise the car, and not comparing it with others and saying that this car is better a to z. that sounds fanboyism..

and personally, i always live around honda. my 1st car was the ferio, then before this i used the civic 1.7, my mom used the civic 2.0 f2d (or issit fd2? )

so i'm just trying to be honest, but it does not welcome here. Honda people just wants to hear positive thing sorry bout that!

ur rite, honda sedans are quite rare in singapore, mostly jazz. saw plentiful of old toyota cars on the road too as taxis actually nissan sedan cars are very well perceive over there like sylphy, sentra, etc. a lot of subaru impreza and mitsubishi lancer there especially can see em high speed on the highway at night. i like the car market there, highly competitive and if u like the car, u buy the car, not just T or H or no choice but force to buy P.

Earlier I was juggling colors between PMM and Blue. So I went to the showroom at Jln 222 as advised and had a good long look at both cars.

Here is my verdict....
Blue color gives the front section of the car stood out from the rest. The contrast of front grey section (with honda logo) vs blue body is very outstanding, plus drooling effect, hehe.

PMM gives me a boring feeling on the front section (not much contrast in color) but when I walked to the back and side of the car...fuiyoh!...elegant and sexy.

Black..you know..

This is gonna be a tough decision.

nope...i dont have any particular number i like haha. hmm how bout WXX 7711

Added on December 27, 2008, 10:37 amya man, i know how u feel. other than the PMM and black, i also like DLBlue and BBeige. actually PMM from far maybe cant really see the contrast with the grille, but if take a closer look, the color itself is very unique and beautiful with 2 tone effects, with one being bright shining/reflective metallic cover by dark shading of black coating(2nd layer/tone).

city less comfort? comfort is not a miracle thing la. toyota just uses soft springs, shock absobers and suspension bushing for toyota vios that all. anycar can do that. but honda does NOT want its car to be too comfort(lembut) as they want their car to be in moderate condition. (sporty and comfort(not so lembut like vios) ).i have test drive the car. CITY USES SINGLE OVERHEAD CAM. that means city saves more fuel. AND EVENTHOUGH IT USES SOHC, I-VTEC CAN STILL BEAT VVTI(DOCH) IN HORSEPOWER AND TORQUE.

PMM is not a boring colour. The boring colour is what you see in the showroom. Try to bake under the sun and view it again. It'll be another colour. Then at night, try to see it again. What I can say is it's a multiple tones.

PMM is my 2nd choice, but i prefer black. even it is hard to take care of . my current city (my dad is the owner) is black, my mom's civic is silver, so i choose black, like father like son .

my plate number is similar with my family plate number 3X3X. i booked my plate number last friday which will be BKF 3X3X.

PMM is a wonderful colour. but i want to book ALABASTER SILVER since it does not look "mudah kotor" especially after drizzling. it contrast with the colour of the front grille and headlamp too. blue is alright. different from other car on the road

i went for a test drive with my bf yesterday and yes the city is way nicer than in pics. i love it very much.

but both my bro and my bf admit that driving city they feel slightly underpower compared to their vios test drive experience..
