I did a test drive the other day...power wise it feels sufficient for me...4 adults in the car...didnt get to look at other things in the car..just focus on driving and feeling the perfomance..

i notice the engine is a bit noisy once u get >3K rpm...other wise the car feels quiet...

paddle shift is cool ! i down it to 2nd gear at a corner and speed off with good power !

Hmm... Seems like the number of ppl who are booking the new Honda City slowed down edi..

25 od ppl isn't all that bad eh for a short time..hehe!
I guess the rest of the people are having their long Christmas and New Year break.

Can't wait to see the new City on the road (not test drive).

Some people don't book their cars that early. They just wait for comments from owners.
Some don't walk into showroom to test-drive. They depend fully on the car that they see on the road.

and some have the assumption that the test drive unit is better built than the units the public gonna receive later on. =.=''

Why you should buy Honda Accord 2.0 instead of Toyota Camry 2.0.

1. Newly developed and environmental friendly 2.0 sohc engine which produce 156
ps and 189nm of torque (estimated added cost = RM5000.00) while camry still
using the old version engine (to cut cost) with 148ps and 190 nm of torque.

2. Newly developed highly efficient 5 speed automatic gearbox (estimated
added cost = RM5000.00). Camry still use the old version 4 speed automatic
gearbox (to cut cost). New honda city is already 5 speed.

3. Variable gear ratio steering system (VGR) to enhance low and high speed

7. Accord suspension is tuned for both comfort and handling while Camry
suspension is tuned for confort only (soft spring).

8. Accord 2.0 OTR price should be at least RM15,000.00 higher than the current

Yup. I'm waiting too, feel too long ler!! But I heard my friend told me that Honda is working on it. They plan to make 1.5k sets each month to cover up all the bookings.

yup same same haha. been thinking of it since one of the forumer of team-BHP india spy shot the lightly camouflaged silver city i think some time back in april/may. as long connected to internet, sure the first thing is surf more pictures and info about the new city haha

just now at the show room, i noticed the black soft rubble materials is kinda low quality built. like the insulators by the door to prevent water from coming into the cabin, the air intake by the engine bay to name a few. it gives the impression if put under the sun everyday, sure will deteriorate very very fast. then the hard plastic like the dash and door panels...hmmm too thin maybe 1 to 2cm max that gives the impression of hollowness which felt like cheap plastic.

after that went for test drive the city. very nice! the experience is so much better than the previous model i test drove few months back. hmm not to say this new city is under power, but its very smooth and pleasant. and im the only will be riding this car, so power wise is ok for me. can feel the gear changing because no longer using CVT in fact i like it haha the engine sound at 3k is still tolerable, at least for me, and when turn on music its hardly noticeable. i played the paddle shifter a little, come to think of it, its quite useless actually, its just something extra to play with when there are not much car on the road.

as for the leather gear nob, i cant tell the diff. rear passenger aircond...well i can feel there some cold air blowing to my feet but i have no idea where its from.

my verdict: very satisfied driving experience, just like the 2 couples before me, smiling happily while exiting the All New City.

Added on December 26, 2008, 11:05 pmanyway, lets talk about city against vios. new city comes with 120ps and 174nm of torque. while vios with its vvti DOHC ONLY PROVIDES 109PS AND 171NM OF TORQUE. CITY HAS 5 SPEED AUTO WHICH SAVES MORE FUEL. vios only uses 4 speed auto( same as national car) City has shift hold control, 4 reverse sensor and USB PORT VIOS ONLY HAS 2 REVERSE SENSOR BUT NO USB PORT. CITY IS FAR MORE BIGGER THAN VIOS! CITY IS 95MM LONGER THAN VIOS, 15 MM WIDER THAN VIOS AND 10MM HIGHER THAN VIOS. THE ICING ON THE CAKE, CITY WEARS 16 INCH WHEEL WHILE VIOS ONLY WEARS 15 INCH WHEEL.

HI guys what about nissan lation ?

why no body compare with that car ?

You go and test drive 1st lah! 120 ps on paper means nothing when it feels way less powerful when u actually DRIVE the car.

Vios may have 109 ps but it feels so much more powerful when u actually drive it.DOHC makes so much difference.

Besides,16 inches will make your fuel consumption higher dude.

I hate CITY for its noisy engine and lousy comfort.But the worst thing about CITY is why in world they make the boot so big??!!

The space could have been used to give the rear passengers more space.

But I also hate VIos for its DUGONG looks and small seats.

ya vios can vroom vroom but city vroom vroom...still okie la haha. but driving experience...i vote for city! in fact, 120hp is really ntg unless ur racing on the highway lol.

lol 931002 knows the city and accord in n out, even better than honda salesman eh hehe.
