yeah.. dat's what i read from google.. and using a program which have rapid changing color box ...

In Dashboard, moving the color box over the dead pixel area to technically massage it...

Still trying.

uh guys...i think i'm already through with the 'cool looking' factor of a glossy screen tongue.gif glares are starting to annoy me now haha

today i've just wasted RM50 on an anti-glare screen protector from Raytec. Yeah stuff are pretty expensive here, so dun comment on it tongue.gif. oh it was a 19" too hehe...i cut it to cover the whole display panel smile.gif. after i put it on, looks damn nice haha. matte screen unibody macbook pro tongue.gif

things changed when i actually turned on my Mac. This screen protector makes everything grainy...can see those small red/blue/green particles all over the screen. i dunno how to explain this (a photo can't show it...well my camera cant) but it kinda looks like when ur screen is damp.

so can anybody recommend a good anti-glare screen protector for me?? another shop sold me one 'anti-glare' from Walker...it was still damn glossy. i came back, fought n argue n fought until i get refund haha biggrin.gif

Hello...what an interesting and lively thread here. Should've been checking them out sooner.

I've been a Mac user for 2 years now. First one was the white 20'' iMac.

Just recently bought the alum MacBook from MacStudio. Got it upgraded to 4GB transcend RAM. Been crashing and freezing
a few times a day. Log says records it as kernel panic. It's not about the software because it can freeze even when I leave it
turned on for over a few hours. Heat is also not a problem because I use a lappie fan. Did some research and it might be the
RAM that's the culprit. Just got it back to MacStudio earlier and they were very helpful. Their taking a look at my MacBook now.
It's only been half a day. I miss it so much. cry.gif At least I can still work on the iMac.

I'm wondering if anyone had similar problems and if so, how did they solved it. I was a little shocked because this never happened
to my iMac before. It does crash once in a blue moon, when on heavy duty load on AE but not every other hour on the same day.
Suggestions/insights and feedbacks welcome...

Thanks.

I don't remember seeing one. Still, the staff at MacStudio say they will check it out and change the RAM for me. I'm pretty sure
it's the RAM that's causing the problem. Well, I asked them to change to Kingston instead. They have to order it though. I'm
waiting patiently. Seriously, I miss my MacBook. I hope they get it done in a few days and by this weekend tops. I need it for
client presentations and and it runs the Adobe CS3 smoothly. (minus the kernel panics of course)

Asking all sifu's in the art of mac to pray with me for a speedy recovery. To the gods of Mac, we salute...

I was there this morning when they performed the Verify disk. Everything OK.
I did a hardware test with the DVD and it says OK also. I read in other mac forums
that the new Unibody Macs have a problem with certain 3rd party RAMs. I think
Transcend might be one of them. They've recorded similar problems with their
MacBooks+Pro when they upgraded their 4GB RAM.

Been reading SG macbook forum. Many problem with transcend ram such as hang n etc sweat.gif . Forget the reason but the got mention something about how the ram handle the process. Best n safe way is to buy ram from samsung and hynix (hyundai) and these are the original ram smile.gif .

p/s : one more brand I forgot
