purchased in March, until now also haven't settle? hmm.gif

I purchased in June and have just settled down everything smile.gif

After signing S&P, then only I dealt with the bankers, confirming my deal.

Then signed the Loan Agreement (apparently, my banker assigned back developer's lawyer for it).

Wow shocking.gif If that's the case and if you are withdrawing EPF for downpayment, you are paying only the booking fee brows.gif (big loss to the developer)

Guys, is it Okay to not taking the panel lawyer as the loan lawyer? According to my bank agent, he said he wanna go with their bank's prefered lawyer. According to him, bank is the one pay for the lawyer fee and therefore bank preferred to deal with their partner lawyer. Will this affecting us, as the owner?

If its zero entry cost package means the Bank is absorbing the legal fee for the preparation of the loan agreement. The BAnk will then appoint the lawyer for the preparation of the loan agreements and docs.

Upon completion of the task ie preparation of loan agreement, getting your signing and stamping of document, then the lawyer will advise the Bank for drawdown (disbursement of loan).

This is a normal practice and will not affect you. However u should always bear in mind that the lawyer is acting for the bank and is to ensure that you have executed all documents relating to the home loan facilities b4 the bank release the money (drawdown).

i took my loan CIMB and the loan documentations were not done by the panel solicitors. but if your loan is thru their panel banker, much easier to go and deal thru their solicitors.
