bro,they no need oc also more than enough for 1920*1200

Okay Im using samsung 19" Syncmaster 933BW with a native resolution of 1440 x 900
Now with Asus EAH 4850 , the one with glaciator fansink...the highest possible resolution I'm able to get is only 1280 x 1024. I tried downloading the latest driver, written 8.11 at their site and still can't get any higher. I tried changing the refresh rate, listing all the modes possible in adapter tab of the card and still the same...
What is going on?! Anyone have any ideas or faced similar issue before? Please help

lower the refresh rate?

Go to display setting, click on advance setting, find monitor tab and see just below the refresh rate setting, make sure the 'hide modes that this monitor cannot display' is UNTICK.
This should solve ur problem

oops, i was referring to dual card cf.
btw, did u mean that if i cannot run a game on 4870 cf (where i need to disable cf only the game get started), the same thing will happen to 4870x2? where I hv to disable cf feature for 4870x2?

guys , my 4670 idle temperature is around 45-47c , is it normal ?

i hav alredi take out my chassis panel , and the temperature still the same ...dust alredi cleaned ....

as lacus said , i closed my ccc and play crysis no more problem for now... just play 45 minit + .. hopefully... dn come out again!

but whatever issue u have with hd4870 crossfire
u will have with hd4870x2.

oic ...i tot its manufacturing defect coz they said that the current 4670 is 15c cooler that b4

tot to exchange for another unit

Crysis n FC2 cannot run at all, crashes on 4870 cf. Other than these 2 games, cf works fine.
I dun think 4870x2 cannot play these games

Yeah, i'm not the only one experiencing this issue.

quite normal temp for 4670

consider very good dy wey assuming you running at 100% fan speed...mine 4870 need 2 slow down the fan speed kao kao only can get close 2 that temp

4650 around Rm250 depends on brand..asus around Rm270

4650 price is around RM250
