above 80c? dangerous? well, gpu r built to within stand temp till 110c btw as for the 4850 from Gainward and Palit. i did view the both of them and it seems alike

hmm, ur 4850 is it the single slot 1? thats a known issue for the card. but then idle temp should not be 75c o_O..u sure bout that?

hmm...single slot..reference card..should not be that hot though...but most likely u might need to swap an aftermarket cooler..thats wat i did with my card..btw which lian li casing r u using?

hmm, can't recall which casing he (doom, a close friend of mine) recommend though...can u check?how much u got it..well,hmm,u did get a side panel fan for that casing right?

damn, lian-li got so many casing dude..a picture of ur casing might help though...btw maybe u should remove that stock heatsink and change the TIM on the heatsink of ur 4850.

well, it's 2 pin most likely which does not allow fan control if no mistaken..let me check the official website.yup, urs is 2 pin which cannot change the speed..u have to live with it

it should b under warranty lor..usually they replace it. btw no all custom cooler comes with 3 pin (usually can change the fan speed) some r dynamic which they change the fanspeed from time to time.
