What firmware do you want to upgrade from? And what firmware do you want to update to?

wanna ask.. psp firmware 5.00 m33-6 is there any problems on it with the browser?? connecting to the net is ok, but when it comes to entering something at the address bar, the psp hangs..

another thing.. 5.00 m33-6 cannot play burnout dominator.. burnout legends works fine.. but i want the dominator series.. any solutions?

Try restoring default settings.

Go to system settings -> restore default settings.

Still hangs.. im starting to feel that 4.01 m33 is better.. anyway to downgrade to 4.01? im good with upgrading.. but im clueless on downgrading..

i have some question again, i read some threads about how to make the video works in psp,but mostly is telling use what converter only or the mod has lock the thread alr.so i need to ask sifus again.
1.i know psp can use mp4 file only,but i convert alr and put it in my video file but the psp says unsupport file.why?
2.some say put it in MP_ROOT\100MNV01 and then go XBM to find for the file,what is XBM?how to find the file or open it?
3.rmvb can convert to mp4 file?because i use pspvideo9 as some ppl suggest that is a good converter,but after i convert the file to mp4,i try it on real player it just cant be play.why?

Point 1 and 2: Hmm as i recall if u are using mp4 files u only need to place them into your "Video" folder and you should be able to see it on ur psp already, that's what I did and it works well for me.
3. RMVB files after converting it's already .mp4 format, why are u stil using real player to play it? U should find codec or players that can play .mp4 file formats (VLC player is a good start) www.videolan.org/vlc/

1. i tried around 3 converters and only 1 worked, pqdvd gave me corrupted, psp unplayable mp4s. some are just like that, or your video settings are not correct.
2. MP_ROOT\100MNV01 is correct, but your file names must also be something like : M4V00001.mp4, M4V00002.mp4, M4V00003.mp4and so on. XMB is what u see when u boot up the psp, the basic menu.
3. pspvideo9 is not that good, try something else. i use 3GP converter, not exactly the most user friendly, but it works good & does batch files.

u place psp videos in ms0:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01
3. screw vlc, go k-lite codec pack

Don't need till screw VLC player bah? It works for lots of ppl, it doesn't for some. K-Lite codec pack doesn't work well with my PC, should i ask ppl to screw K-Lite Codec?

I want to put wallpaper on my PSP but the picture "wallpaper" not full screen. So I need to edit the picture ... can anybody advise me on the size, resolution, height,...etc.

Another thing guys ... Can I just dump video file "mp4 or avi" directly to my PSP.... or do I have to convert it ....? If I have to convert to make it smaller what are the resolution, aspect ratio... etc... ?

Make an image with the size 480x272. That would be perfect for wallpapers.

Videos, download a good converter, and convert the avi video to psp format.

that was intended to be offensive & i am more biased towards k-lite, vlc has made my pc and other pcs crash numerous times, plus slow/out of sync audio/video, particularly rmvb & mkv format. that's why i dislike it.

the same thing happened to me as well, when trying to convert .avi files. i was using pqDVD, now i use 3GP converter.

HI..i suggest u use Allok Converter..i'm using that and all my converted video(any format ) works well on my psp..just use simple method..only add file then choose MP4 not mp4..then convert...then no need to rename anything...just put in memory card MP_ROOT\100MNV01 folder then everything will pop up in yur video option in psp automatically with filename changed too..it has manual in it so very easy to convert any video files...follow the step then enjoy!
